To anyone in the East Brunswick area and beyond, Keith from bark busters is the best dog trainer! After one session I was amazed by the skills and tips he was able to provide to help teach our wonderful rescue pup Brody. Brody needed help with walking on a leash, excessive barking, and food aggression. Keith was confident and knowledgeable making it easy to understand how to speak dog! We are looking forward to practicing all the skills we were taught by Keith and seeing the improvement!

Our trainer told us on his first visit that we would see a change in our dog's behavior that same day. I know that sounds like just a sales pitch, but it's absolutely true. Keith is a great teacher -- he had both humans & dog understanding the training method & our Holly responding almost immediately. I can't recommend Bark Busters & our trainer Keith Axsom strongly enough. After two years of dreading a walk with our Westie girl we can take her out with confidence. It's not magic, you have to practice, persevere & be consistent, but if you follow the protocol you will get the results you want. Thank you, Keith!

We decided to give Bark Busters a try after reading all the wonderful reviews however we were a little skeptical about the whole 80-90% improvement thing after the first visit. Well Keith came in and really delivered on that promise! He’s very professional, explains things really well, and really cares about the dogs. Our pups went from barking at anything and everything that moved to being calm and happy all the time. Family members have even commented on how fast their temperament changed. I’d definitely recommend Keith, he was worth every penny!

In all honesty, I didn’t have very high expectations. I had read the reviews but was skeptical and had actually reached out 2 times before but we never pulled the trigger for a variety of reasons. It finally got to a point where we needed professional help. While Bud is a sweet pea, he has been a handful for my husband and I; when we fostered and eventually adopted our wild man Bud, we had no idea how to handle him. Right away, we could see he was an anxious, high energy dog but we thought he’d grow out of it or we could handle it. After the birth of our first son 19 months ago, we began to notice Bud becoming more and more anxious, even more energetic, and aggressive (never to us or our son but to other dogs, cats, etc). It was getting to the point where we had to medicate him when we had guests over and trying to take him for walks was almost impossible. We’re expecting our second son in a few months and I knew we needed to fix it before his arrival - and I didn’t want to resort to just medicating him or giving him up. So I contacted Keith for the 3rd time and I am beyond shocked at our results from only 2 sessions. Like I said, I didn’t have high expectations - I just thought Bud was too anxious and energetic and that was his “personality”. Boy, was I wrong. Keith explained so much to us in our first session and my husband and I looked at each other like, DUH. So simple but having the right tools and knowing how to effectively communicate has been such a game changer. Within minutes, MINUTES, of Keith showing us how to communicate and be the pack leader, we had a submissive, calm dog. Shocked doesn’t even describe it. Bud is still a work in progress but in the 2 weeks since we first met Keith, the difference in Bud is incredible. Our family has even commented and asked if he’s the same dog. His anxiety has decreased significantly, I actually enjoy taking him for walks and it's just overall a more relaxed environment in our house. It’s an investment but it is 1000% worth it. I am so happy we decided to finally give Bark Busters and Keith a chance - I am beyond happy and thankful to Keith for helping our family

Keith from Bark busters was AMAZING! He helped me learn how to communicate with my puppy. She is no longer pulling on the leash and she is getting better around people! I would recommend Keith and bark busters to anyone who has a problem puppy/dog

Keith helped me train my dog Sable from being a rambunctious nippy pup, to a very obedient and loving Dog! Just after our first sessions she started to obey simple commands like sit, stay, and come. Additionally, she no longer bit me or my parents anymore, as a result I was able to expand her pen and incorporate her more into my family's life. After the second session she stopped pulling on the leash significantly on top of improving on all the prior commands she learned. She is almost fully housebroken and with Keith's help it looks like she will get there very soon!

10 stars! We adopted a 3rd dog. Now we have 3 husky females and a sibling rivalry going on. The first few weeks were chaotic and our family was losing it. Keith came and we saw an immediate difference. We were given techniques to obtain leadership over the pack. Scheduling is easy, Keith is always available to help. We have some time with Keith and our girls inside the house, on walks and in the fenced in yard. We're getting our sleep back and the doggies are progressing and getting along much better.

We recently adopted our mixed breed rescue puppy Ham, and started to look for training for him to work on a few issues. He was jumping up on everyone, nipping at our feet and legs, biting, and had tried to run out the door a few times. After the first session with Keith, Ham learned very quickly not to do those things! The techniques were easy to implement, and Ham is a smart dog so we saw immediate changes. It takes some work and consistency on the owners part, but it really does work. Keith was excellent to work with, had great communication, and was on time/early. He was great with Ham! Definitely recommend.

Keith is amazing and literally changed our lives! Our miniature poodle, Kemba, who is almost 7 years old has been barking at everything since day one. Many times, he was also over protective of me and getting jealous of his sister who is a year younger. Upon my initial call with Keith he said that 80%-90% of the time people see an improvement after his initial visit. I thought for sure we would never be one of those people and boy was I wrong! Kemba has been on his absolute best behavior, and our house has not been this quiet in nearly 7 years. It’s been almost a month now and all signs tell me that his great behavior will continue. We are so thankful for Keith and highly recommend!

I'd give them a minus star if there was such! I have a 6 month old mixed breed puppy who weighs approximately 45 pounds. (I weigh 115). She's extremely active and I can't handle her. She has had no training and is from a litter that was abandoned. I contracted with Bark Busters to train her, paid them a booking fee of $300, which they tell me is non-refundable, and then AFTER I agreed to a booking, they gave me a date in June. This is March. Thinking this might work, I agreed to it. Today I called to ask for the help I need NOW. Their only suggestion was to cancel the appointment (with the $300 non-refundable.) After all, they did mark the date on a calendar, which I guess they figure is worth $300, or have someone come out and shock the dog to calm her til June. Really? They may be good at training but they're more into money than caring about the dog or the customer.

Keith brought peace of mind to me and our family. After our Norwegian Elkhound passed, we waited three years to get a new dog. We chose a French Bulldog, Lyra, and for just over a year we were loving living the Frenchie life. But, we still talked about adding another dog to our family. In the beginning of January, we took in a 10 month old Belgian Malinois/Dutch Shepard mix who needed to be re-homed. We named her Jade. As you may have guessed, life as we knew it was flipped completely upside-down. Lyra is a calm, chill, easy going, snuggle bug who loves to cuddle. Jade, on the other hand, is pure energy. She needs to run and play and she needs to work and be trained. I was having a very hard time coping with the change. I couldn't get her house trained and she was making a mess of our home. I couldn't figure her out. Despite having trained my Elkhound years ago, I didn't know what to do now. I wasn't sure we had made the right decision taking Jade in. We researched trainers and called a few, including Keith. Keith was very understanding and he was willing to answer some questions and even put up with me calling him twice in one hour before we even scheduled our first visit. Keith arrived with a presentation, materials, training tools, knowledge, and compassion. He taught us about pack behavior and how to communicate with our dogs. He was reassuring that we could do this and that Jade would become a part of our pack. We put what he taught us into practice right away. The best part (for me, anyway) was that, after he left, I was able to text him with questions and ask for advice and he was right there with support and helpful answers. My anxiety had been through the roof before he came and after using the tools and knowledge Keith provided, even he saw the change in, not only the dogs, but in me when he came back for his second visit. I highly recommend Keith. His knowledge and methods are excellent and the peace of mind he brought to our home is priceless.

We got in touch with Keith within a few days of our arrival in the USA with our 3 year old English Cocker Spaniel. Being in a new country and a new environment, we entrusted Keith to help her adapt, settle in, and smooth over some bad habits/undesirable behaviors. Oh man. We got SO much more out of Keith’s training than we thought we needed! First, Keith provides a self-assessment, through which realized our little pup needed a lot more discipline than we realized! Second and most importantly, Keith provided an unbelievably simple, effective and adaptable approach that has not only improved her behavior, but also deepened our bond, connection and general communication with her. In hindsight, being that my husband and myself were first-time puppy parents, I can see we ventured down many avenues to finally achieve what Keith’s training fulfills. We’d enlisted several trainers, all sorts of programs, tactics, tools, etc. since she was a puppy in service of a goal to raise a good “doggy citizen.” With Keith, we’ve really achieved that. Most importantly, his technique is kind, compassionate, approachable and **adaptable** so that we can always apply it to both familiar as well as novel environments/situations. We did go for the lifetime membership and have reached out to Keith with tweaks, questions and in one instance a fearful emergency. His support has been consistent and stupendous since we met back in July. Thank you Keith!!! On a personal note, thank you for being so calm, clear, professional and so wonderfully earnest about this program and your love of dogs :)
