My 80lb American Staffordshire Terrier rescue, Blue had severe Fear, Insecurity and Aggression Issues. His behavior was unpredictable around strangers and turned aggressive very quickly. I purchased a package of sessions to do one on one with both Emily and Blue. Emily's combination of Knowledge, Experience, Patience and Assertiveness transformed Blue and his behavior. Over time, Blue become more confident and relaxed. The lessons and homework she gave me, helped tremendously and I still use them today. To say Blue adored Emily is an understatement. Highly Recommend!

Please save yourself the trouble and stay away from this place.I wanted to give this place a 5-star review however after paying for more than $1750 and a few months of onboarded training, as well as a few months of in-home follow-up visits, my dog was still not trained. I tried to schedule additional home visits with the trainer but first, he had excuses to not come over and after a few more times he stopped replying to my messages.UPDATE since the owner contacted me:I didn’t want to disclose the trainer’s name but since the owner left a confusing comment. The trainer who I worked with was Nick and the in house sessions scheduling were communicated through his personal phone. I have the communication history and his number but I rather not to disclose them here.

We came here several months ago seeking help for our pitbull puppy, they automatically deemed him as aggressive just by him looking at another dog they walked passed him. They traumatized my dog even more to be fearful of people just by hitting a ground with a stick to scare him then to throw a price of $7,000 to board and train a dog it’s ridiculous. Glad to say I kept away from this place. We are working with a trainer now that is amazing we have seen so much progress and they even told me that situation could have impacted him as well. Now my dog is always looking around as if someone is going to come out at him because of this simple consultation! Don’t go HERE SAVE YOUR MONEY DO YOUR RESEARCH READ REVIEWS !!!Some trainers shouldn’t be trainers just because they have a certificate to train a dog doesn’t mean they know how to treat a dog !

Please stay away from this company for the safety of your dog. They malnourished a dog in order to have him comply. They kept him in the crate and starved him. He had emergency surgery and had items removed from his stomach because he was eating anything to mask his hunger. Tires fabric/rubber and a chicken leg. I am making a petition to have this location shut down for the safety of our pets (to include my own) If anyone is interested please contact me directly. I will be calling all organizations and make it my absolute full time job to have these people shut down. Pray for the pets attending this boot camp and please share this post with the world to shine light on animal cruelty.

I’m writing this review on behalf of my mother in law. She brought her pup, Shadow, in for a board and train. They kept him there for three months (they kept extending his training), then my mother in law brought him home only to find that he wasn’t trained at all. He was home for only two weeks and she had to bring him back for another month of training. During the post training sessions, my mother in law was told to hit Shadow as hard as she can with the leash if he doesn’t listen. Who in the world would say that to someone let alone actually do it? They also trained with a prong collar. We are not opposed to prong collars, but whatever they did with him with the collar has made his very aggressive whenever someone puts a collar or harness on him. He even reacts when he sees a leash. They told my mother in law to keep the collar on at all times. The poor dog wasn’t allowed to sleep without it on. They also told her to keep Shadow on a leash at all times, even indoors. So they kept him for four months and didn’t even train him off leash. According to my mother in law she was not told about on leash vs. off leash training. They wanted her to bring Shadow back for off leash training for another fee. Aside from all that, Shadow still doesn’t know basic commands, only “sit” and “down.” He counter surfs, jumps on people, bites, and steals. He is completely unruly and hard to manage. We’re doing research on other training facilities. Hopefully this time, he’ll actually be trained.

We found K9 Bootcamp after trying to find some solution for our agressive and fearful 8 month old heeler mix puppy. He had a rough start as a rescue plus lack of socialization due to COVID, he was very reactive, stressed, and sometimes agressive anytime he was outside of our protective bubble. After 5 months in the agression program and board and train, we have a different dog. We can not thank Jose, Emily, and the rest of the staff enough for their resources and help. They have given us so much. Luca came to them scared and stressed and left happy and confident. It was very bittersweet to bring him home because I know they truly bonded with him and he bonded with them. That was the added bonus, knowing how good of hands he was in being away from home that long.Thank you thank you thank you! Life is so much better with a dog - especially a happy and relaxed one.

PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM EMILY ADAMS (OWNER). This business (K9 BOOTCAMP), is an absolute scam.Emily Adams, the owner, is nasty, abusive, and a fraud. She Advertised on her website that she is a BBB ACCREDITED Business even though SHE IS NOT. This is a false advertisement and proves she is a fraud. Even worse, she scammed me and nearly abused my dog. We signed up for a very expensive board and train boot camp program that was a puppy/adult/ and public manners program that cost $4,800. They kept my 5-month-old puppy German Shepherd for three months, all the while we thought the puppy was being trained and socialized as had been promised. It turns out the dog was isolated and kept in a crate most of the time, and did not receive the training she was promised. My puppy was not socialized and in fact, we received a puppy that had developed a fear of people, particularly women, and the owner and the trainers that were supposed to be working with my puppy were all women. She never passed on all the commands, most likely because they were never taught, and when we asked about the public manners she said we now need to pay for an aggression program that she valued at 10K. During the time while my dog was training, and after during the lessons period, she did not return phone calls, did not provide the training promised, and harmed the puppy by isolating it from people. She also actually instructed us to keep her isolated until they teach us how to introduce the puppy to people. All the while the puppy was developing a fear of people from all the isolation. She also asked for all the money upfront which is insane. This situation has gotten so bad I was forced to take legal action. I would never recommend this place to anyone! In fact, people should be warned.Lawsuit filed and served. Looking forward to seeing you in court!

PLEASE STAY AWAY. From their CEO and Director, Emily Adams all the way down to the helpers, they are extremely unprofessional. My interaction was with Emily Adams herself. I scheduled an evaluation on Monday, December 6th, 2021 for Wednesday, December 8th, 2021 at 4:00 pm. I did this through their website on their automated calendar system. The slot for 4:00 pm was available. I received two automated emails that my appointment was confirmed. My husband and I took off of work. On December 8th, 2021 we arrived with our doggy. The worker came out and explained that our session was canceled by Emily because she had a dinner party to go to. The worker explained only Emily could do the evaluation, and we would have to come back another day. She stated Emily would reach out to me on how to move forward. On December 9th, 2021 Emily did reach out to us and this is when I began to become suspicious. Instead of Emily looking to reschedule with us, she sent us a thank you email for attending the evaluation. All of you can obviously guess the scam here. She wants to secure her $100 by claiming she delivered a service she never did. This email was not automated and from Emily as we would begin a long thread of arguments. The end game for us was to return our $100 since she was borderline committing a theft by deception. Emily claimed she was at an organizational dinner-party that happens once a year. Emily believed since she had called once that morning to cancel that was satisfactory and the fact I missed the call was my problem. It was less than 8 hours notice. Emily also claimed since I was complaining about not receiving the service she didn't want to work with my kind. It's pretty obvious Emily intended on stealing our $100. If she is the CEO and founder, she knew her holiday dinner-party was already scheduled and that she wouldn't be available for our appointment. She made no attempts to genuinely reach me after two days of the service being scheduled. And after just one email she stated she wouldn't evaluate my dog. Also, she explained when I stated I would seek a chargeback, that she has plenty of experiences with these situations and that it would be very hard to get my money back and "good luck." Continuing with the deceiving trend, her website states she is BBB certified but if you check this website she clearly is not. Emily is a liar all in all and doggy owners: BEWARE!!!!! Do not bring your dog there. Now that I'm doing more research it's a horror. Many reviews claim their dogs were traumatized or became sick while being in her custody. I know the claim there is three sides to a story. I have attached screenshots of the conversation so you all can be the judge.

We had the pleasure of working with Meghan at K9. It was hard to leave our puppy - but in the end it was completely worth it for everyone. We have learned so much from Meghan. Our dog LOVES Meghan - he is always excited to her (but no longer jumps up).. Meghan was also super patient when training US!

Do not take your dog to K9 Bootcamp for any services. I do not like to write negative reviews but after the care my dog received from K9 Boot Camp in East Rutherford I feel that other dog owners need to be warned to stay away. Under their care my dog was mistreated and neglected. After a boarding and training stay, my dog was returned to me dirty, had kennel cough and didn't even learn the basics. I am absolutely furious, and this establishment should not be allowed to care for dogs. I dropped my dog off for the boarding and training program. Her stay was to learn basic training. When I picked my dog up from the program I immediately noticed her condition. When I got home with my dog I immediately called K9 Bootcamp so could speak with Emily, the owner of K9 Bootcamp. I was told that she was too busy and could not talk to me. I told the woman that I spoke to that my dog had gotten kennel cough from their facility and to please mention it to Emily. Unfortunately I never received a call back. After about 2 weeks of calling K9 Bootcamp and leaving numerous messages for Emily to please call me to discuss the issue, she finally responded. When we did finally speak, she was rude, disrespectful and didn't seem to care about my dogs health. She kept defending herself, making excuses for why my dog was sick, and blaming the issue on me. She never even asked about my dogs health. As a company that's sole service is to care for dogs, that response is blatantly unacceptable. Their business is to care for dogs. Under K9 Bootcamp's care my dog was neglected and exposed to serious health risks that if I hadn't picked up my dog at the time, her health would have become worse. The purpose of this statement is to inform others of the mistreatment and neglect my dog experienced at the hands of Emily and K9 Bootcamp. Dog owners need to be aware of the lack of care provided by K9 Bootcamp and stay away.

I highly recommend K9 Boot Camp. I took my puppy in for aggression control. The entire staff was amazing with Melo. I walked in with a very shy and scared pup and walked out with a confident pup. Megan and Jose were absolutely wonderful. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

I had all but given up before I met Emily and and the trainers at K9 Bootcamp.I brought my dog, Kishmish (age 3), to K9 Bootcamp after several attempts with other trainers had failed. Kish spent his early days in a traumatic environment in Afghanistan where he was in a constant state of fear. Unfortunately, after arriving in the US, this state of fear persisted. His constant anxiety and aggression prevented him from eating regularly, meeting other dogs or people, or going into public without having a complete meltdown. I had come to believe he was beyond helping.Emily quickly identified the best strategy for overcoming Kish's fear aggression and immediately went to work. After a few weeks Kish returned home a far happier and healthier dog. Afterwards, Emily scheduled several personal training sessions where my girlfriend and I learned how to implement the techniques used to train Kish. It's worth noting that the price we paid had nothing to do with the length of training. In other words, even if Kish was especially difficult (which I'm sure he was) and took longer than other dogs to train, the price remained the same. They won't stop until the job is done.Today, the three of us can take weekends trips without worrying about a pending meltdown. Kish's weight has increased, his coat is filling out, and his general demeanor is one of a far happier dog.Emily and the trainers at K9 Bootcamp have not only improved Kish's quality of life, but have drastically improved ours as well. Money well spent.
