While I wouldn't call it a 'dream', this is a really good mall with plenty of options nonetheless. The mall is huge. I tried to walk it and I accomplished most of it. It was due to the structure of the mall that I missed a little area by mistake. Just walking the entirely of the mall you will certainly get your steps in. It's not confining either, as there's a lot of room for crowds without you feeling particularly crowded - which is good if you don't like crowds, like me. There's way too many businesses to list here, so check the directory online - including eateries, businesses, and other such things like the Angry Birds Mini golf. Some of the businesses are more than one floor as well. This mall has a theme park, a water park, an aquarium, skiing, an ice skating rink, an arcade, and plenty in between. If you're headed here for the parks, try and get here earlier. By the time it hit early afternoon, the lines for both were ridiculously long. There are parts of the mall that attempt to appear 'high end', so if that's your thing, you should enjoy it. Prices here are a little steep in some areas however, so keep that in mind. Some of the artsy parts are okay, others aren't my personal cup of tea - but plenty to look at in that regard. This mall is beyond welcoming in some aspects. There is plenty of seating and even areas to lay down. Random beanbags are also in some areas, tables, and there are plenty of charging stations. It typically opens at 11am. I thought it was 10am, so I had gotten there early. I'm grateful that I did, because by the time I got out hours later, the parking lot was packed. So if you are coming here and want a good spot, get here early enough. There is plenty of parking and several lots, but use caution due to the bad drivers navigating these lots and the ones waiting for spots to avoid walking an extra 10 feet. This mall is located in the potentially busy Meadowlands Sports Complex, so it's not typical in getting here without some hassles. I get why they put it here, but it can be a pain getting here - especially if there's an event or two also happening. Some of the signage isn't great, so pay attention so you don't miss your destination. Personally, I think it would've been better had they had put this mall in a different area geographically. Again, I get why they put it where they put it, but I'd have to think twice before considering coming here. Overall a pretty good and sizable mall. Plenty to do and you could easily spend hours here. Kids will love it of course. Recommended to all. Just check if there is a sporting event or concert in this Complex, because it might make a trip here become more of a hassle depending.

Buyer beware !!! Lots of kids running the place. No one wants to help or offer correct information. We were told about twilight hours at 4:30 when we arrived. Decided to wait till 6:00 to enter since the price was so much less and the guy at the desk said 4 or 5 times that there were 2,000 people in the park and the lines would be an hour at least for the good ones. When we came back at 6:00 we were told yeah that's not for today they are on peek but it's available on Monday. We asked for a manger and Alfonso came out from his office after we peeked in he was rude and condescending, when we showed him the wording from the website he said he didn't have a magic wand to change anything. Didn't even offer an apology. Very disappointed.

Went to AD over the weekend for some shopping. This was my first visit in few months. Was surprised to see lots of new small stores opening. The garden area was decorated meticulously for Spring. Whole mall was super clean and everything glossy. Mall was super crowded for Saturday afternoon, lovely to see everyone embracing AD. I was happy to see they were managing the parking situation by restricting in and outs in certain directions. Hopefully they will maintain this improvement.

This park is amazing its a mall with a water park and roller coasters , i like to call it the wet side and dry side . Its like a small - mid budget but its a great park / mall to shop or to even have amazing fun with kids 7-18 this is one of my favorite amusement park to got to . This is really top tier . Its the perfect place to take ur kids or friends on a spring break or winter break or even during the summer . Like this review if it helped u go there . 10/10

This mall plays the music so loud it's obnoxious This mall is also open way too late . And why are some stores open and some stores closed It's Bergen county shouldn't the mall be closed super inconvenient for people who aren't aware of the blue law in NJ

This place is AMAZINGGGGGG!!! We stayed three days and still did not see everything, one of the best thought out malls, and kid and family friendly attractions I have ever seen. Cons: The food court selections left a lot to be desired and there were not many directional signs. Now I do recommend that someone open a stay and play if only for two hours here as I often saw parents wanting to also step in a few stores but were unable too because their kids were too amazed and impressed with the kid attractions. Now for the fun stuff. Pros: This place is amazing from Nickelodeon, to Dream works the water park which we stayed in literally from open to close and last but not least Sea Life which is a smaller version of SeaWorld. We did not have time to visit lego land, the miniature golf course, or the virtual reality place. It also helps that in spite of the rain it didn't matter because we were inside. This place is a gem and I will for sure return for more days next time.

This place truly puts other malls to shame. American Dream is its own ecosystem of luxury shops, retail shops, dining and amusement park. Keep in mind, you will be spending money in some form even if you didn't intend to because parking is paid and depending where you come from, the tolls to get to American Dream can add up. In addition, you will most definitely get lost, so prep a map beforehand if you can. But I definitely think this place is fantastic for families. So many activities for the kids within the mall and in the amusement park section in general. There were even animal wagons that you could ride in the mall with your child (or by yourself if you were a small sized adult like me...) I think if shopping is your main goal, do not visit on a Sunday. Bergen County law restricts commerce on Sunday so when we visited, quite a few shops were closed. With that being said, if you want to walk around and explore in general, Sunday is the day to go because of the lack of crowds!

went to this mall for the first time today and it was such a fun experience! the mall has a gorgeous interior and it is so colorful and artsy. there are so many stores, one i went to was urban planet which had great streetwear for low prices! there's a great selection for food, so many options and types of food, and there's so many things to do. a high school girls' basketball game was going on inside the mall, there is a ski slope, theme parks, etc. parking is free for the first 30 min, then it's $5, and you pay when leaving the mall with a parking ticket you get when first parking. had a great time here and will be back for sure!
