We visited the shelter today to look around as we are interested in adopting. The shelter is very clean and organized and has a large variety of different-aged kittens/cats. We are not allowed to walk in the dog pen area, which is understandable, but they let us know they are getting a new transport of puppies soon and to keep an eye out on the website. Staff is very friendly - we look forward to going back soon.

It was a wonderful experience! The staff exuded love and compassion for the cats/dogs/animals at the shelter. They were patient and let us see and spend time with each cat or set of cats ? ?. We felt at home. Thank you to all of the staff and special woman who took care of explaining everything and sharing with us our experience of adopting 1 kitten and 2 young adult cats. God bless you all. ♥️

I got two pretty different descriptions of this dog from the staff. Turns out both were right. We got a high energy dog that also loves to cuddle up and relax with us. We couldn't be happier with our adoption. And they helped us out with starter kits and a loaner crate! My family is very happy with the entire process. I highly recommend adopting a new family member from here.

We had an amazing experience at Mt Pleasant Animal shelter, we recently had lost our beloved cat to several health issues and our three year old was devastated. Madison pet shop recommended this shelter that we had never heard of before. We went in nervously and within minutes the friendly staff made us feel so welcome. We found the most beautiful, friendly kitty Sasha! She has been so amazing and she is so sweet with my three year old! We highly recommend coming here for your next pet!

My fiancé and I recently adopted our kitty from here. The process was so straightforward! We are thankful that the staff took care of tests, vaccinations, and the microchip implant and even set us up with some initial food and toys to bring home. As far as the shelter environment goes, I was prepared for it to be a sad place, but the free roam cats and friendly staff made it feel fun and homey.
