I’d give zero stars but it’s not an option. DO NOT BOOK through East Hanover location. The branch manager James Barrett is terrible to deal with. Rented a premium SUV which had no oil, destroyed tires (all four), which Firestone confirmed. They sent me to go fix the car on vacation bc they didn’t have a similar size vehicle in a 50 mile radius. I can go on and on about my experience with them but do yourself a favor and do not book through this location! No wonder they have terrible rating. He also hides to avoid dealing with customers. A complete joke!!

They promised me a AlfaRomeo, than when finished paperwork gave me Toyota keys. They charged my card twice $88 for not even quarter of tan for an old Toyota. They’re the worst enterprise ever.

Top notch service and quality from the East Hanover team of Enterprise. James and the whole crew are very courteous, efficient and able to quickly set up a rental that is truly customized to your needs. We accidentally left a cell phone in a car we returned and received an email from James at 7:30 the next morning. Will definitely be a return customer here. Previous reviews haven’t been so positive - my understanding is that management has completely changed since then - definitely worth going in now.

The E. Hanover location was excellent. Jessica, James, and their team thoroughly answered all our questions and set us up with a car while ours was in the shop. There was no wait time because they were very efficient. The team was also very friendly and made the experience enjoyable. Thank you!

Had nothing but a great experience with Enterprise's customer service. They didn't have a wide selection of cars and since I wasn't in a hurry, I waited late till later to get a decent car to use while I was in New Jersey. They were very accommodating and communicative. Unfortunately, I rented a car that did not accelerate great and I didn't feel it was going to be wise to drive, 500 miles with it so I called enterprise and we easily exchanged to a better car. It was very easy James and Jessicaaaa in East, Hanover and sam in Verona. We're all very accommodating.

We were extremely happy with the van we rented for the day . It was very large, clean and nearly brand new. Easy to drive with keyless start, and lots of new safety features like reverse camera and brake warnings. The personnel at Enterprise was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. We had a very positive experience.

James the manager was great. I had an issue with the first vehicle I rented. James quickly resolved the issue. His team is great as well all very friendly.

While my vehicle was being fixed, Geico set me up with a rental from Enterprise at the East Hanover location. One I received the rental, I was told no smoking in the vehicle, which was perfect for me since smoking gives me a headache which eventually leads to nose bleeds. So I took the rental home and left it parked for a few days. Just so happened that I needed to run an errand on an extremely hot day during lunch and the 15 min drive to Whole Foods was an ordeal! The vehicle smelled like stale, baked in smoke. I called the rental office once I got back home and they told me to bring the vehicle back and they would exchange it for another one. Later that day, I dropped off the vehicle and they gave me another vehicle, which worked out great for the remainder of the time needed. I'm giving five stars because while the company does not have absolute control on what customers do in the vehicle, they were able to rectify the situation. Also, the manager and the guy at the front desk were very helpful.

NOT FOR LATINOS/FOREIGNERSI have a terrible experience with this store when trying to rent a car. If you are Latino or Foreigner, please do not go there, they will ask you a lot of questions and refuse your rental as they did with us. My Dad was visiting me from Brazil and booked a rental with Enterprise. Upon arrival at the East Hanover NJ location, they started asking a lot of questions to start. He gave the valid Brazilian drivers license and they asked him to sign the rental contract. Last step was to proceed with the payment where they refused to accept my Dad’s international credit card, stating that they only can accept US based credit cards. They said it is the policy and unless he had an US credit card he will not be able to rent. We argued for a while stating that he has rented several times before with no issues, but left without being able to rent the car. This is a complete lie from the store and it was a very bad attitude against a Latino customer. I called Enterprise Customer Service and they said they should have accepted the international credit card. There were no grounds or any reasoning from that store to refuse a valid international credit card. I filled a formal complaint through Enterprise Customer Care and putting this review so other people can avoid having that terrible and sad experience with Enterprise. Next day we went to Hertz and took us 10 minutes to rent the car. My Dad provided the Brazilian drivers license and paid with his international credit card with no issues. It is really beyond my comprehension that a company like Enterprise still can treat Latino customers like they did with my father. We really felt discriminated at this store. Very disappointing and sad!

This Enterprise site is awesome...one of the best I've actually worked with, given that I usually book with Enterprise for long-drive trips across state lines for vacations and business. But for this particular review, I'm going to highlight my most recent experience where I needed to rent a vehicle through my insurance. Jessica was especially helpful and super professional - she got me set up quickly, was very knowledgeable and informative about the process (because this was the first time I had to rent through insurance), and got me into a car based on my needs! I'm very grateful for her responsiveness to all my questions and made the whole experience painless and actually enjoyable despite the circumstances w needing to get the car through insurance. She and the rest of the team at this location are super kind and personable as well!! If you have the option to choose the Enterprise site, you won't go wrong picking this location!
