I have been a BestBuy customer since 2009 at least and I remember the customer experience not being that great during that time.
Starting 2014, something changed and I realized that I was shopping a lot at this place( at the time in NY) and I enjoyed every bit of it and I still have fond memories of me picking up the best gadgets.
This continued for a long time until recently where I am noticing a decline in customer experience , while not extremely bad, but not definitely consistent. Some employees are awesome while others are just not fit for a customer facing role.
Being a long time customer, I would not want one of the few stores left get reduced to a state where the customer is not respected and the experience diminished to a bad memory. I really hope things get better and would want to keep shopping here and gain a few more wonderful experiences.

The worst place to do doordashing, none of the workers can specifically find a power cord or say there’s no item. The order says plenty in stock and it’s never the case. Nobody at register and it seems like when they do help somebody they waste more time planning on their effort be minimum with moving onto somebody else. Will never set foot in this place again. ( in response to below- WHY DO I HAVE TO WORK FOR YOU. Too much trouble for me-either you change or I don’t come back-PERIOD)

dont bring your pc to geek squad, I had a broken motherboard to which i was told it would be 190$ to fix, strange but ok. I get a call later, “your motherboard is broken and you need a new one” turns out they signed me up for some membership and charged me for a diagnostic. so now im 300$ deep on a 150$ max fix. i should’ve done it myself. not the fault of the employees it was just not explained enough and im now in the process of getting a refund

You can buy anything at Best Buy! You can even get new car speakers installed at their auto shop ? Get all your electronics repaired with Geek Squad ? They’ll even come to you!
I applied for their credit card because Best Buy can literally do everything and cheaper than anyone else!

We ordered the GE 4.8 freestanding oven online after viewing ovens in the best buy east Hanover NJ store. Order date 5/23/04 and it was delivered and installed today, 6/17/24. Great seamless ordering and installation process. The two delivery/installer men were terrific, thorough and efficient covering all the touch points (hooking up the gas line and adjusting the four balancing legs. They hauled away the old ge oven in an expedited manner. Ed Anderson

Unable to speak to someone in the store about an order that was not properly handled. Now I have to waste my time and go ALL THE WAY BACK TO THE STORE to correct YOUR mistake. You can't "accidentally" disconnect the call for the 5th time then.
Update - I tried online, they told me to go to the store again. Went to the store again and was asked to come back when a manager is there. Fantastic, 4th trip and counting. The costly membership will not be renewed.

A single person works in the laptop and tablets section. It was impossible to purchase a tablet let alone ask a question, as there was a line of people waiting to tell their stories to the only available attendant. The iPad Air displays were either mislabeled or not the latest generation and the rep was unavailable to clarify. The iPads also hide pricing, you click the tablet and select see pricing and it says Ask associate. The Geek Squad also failed to commit to services advertised. Apple’s site directed me to this store for an iPhone battery replacement, but the Geek Squad advised they do not carry the batteries nor do they have teammates trained to do the replacement. I will just go direct to Apple in Short Hills going forward. There’s fewer to no hassles.
