Member since last one year. Staff is good but my issue is with TV and sound system, audio is not working on any treadmill for more than 6 month. Complained about it always the same answer that it will be fix soon.

Bare bones gym, but it's clean and has basic machines. It served my purpose for a while, but I left because they don't have barbells at the East Brunswick location.

DO NOT GO TO THIS GYM!!! The inmates run the asylum, and they are CRAZY! This gym is TERRIBLE! I wish I could give negative stars. Very unprofessional, overly aggressive manager and staff. I was rudely and disrespectfully approached by the manager and told to leave the gym, or she would have someone "escort me out" because of my shoes. I asked her to explain the policy to me, and she again threatened me. I then said I would leave to prevent any further harassment from the power drunk manager. She told me that she was "banning" me and canceling my membership because she "could do that" while insulting and cursing at me on the gym floor. I then proceeded to the locker room to retrieve my personal belongings, where I was accosted by the janitor and another gentleman who also works for Planet Fitness. I am unaware of his name or position, as he refused to identify himself, but he was in the Planet Fitness uniform. This Planet Fitness employee was cursing, screaming, and threatening me with physical violence. I had to call the police to protect myself from these escalated threats and increasing aggressiveness of the staff. I used to go to that gym every day and have, along with my entire family, been a black card member with Planet Fitness for over 10 years incident-free. The staff at the East Brunswick, NJ location are not only rude and disrespectful, but menacing, aggressive, and violent. The manager then went on to cancel my entire membership because I called the police. She even forged my signature on the membership cancelation form. Apparently, Planet Fitness allows this to go on, and it probably explains the 1 star overall rating for this club. I have filed a formal complaint with corporate, who assured me an investigation will be conducted. But we all know those never go anywhere. I am truly appalled by the treatment I received, especially after being a loyal black card member for so many years. I would highly discourage anyone from going to this gym, as there are no policies in place to prevent these employees from actually physically assaulting someone in the future, as they almost did to me today, all because of my SHOES. There are no policies in place to protect club members from hostile staff members at Planet Fitness. The employees can basically do WHATEVER they want without repercussions and with the encouragement of a bitter manager. The manager is obscenely rude and disrespectful and wields her "power" around in very unethical and extremely unprofessional ways. If you are looking to work out without being harassed and menaced by highly agitated and miserable staff, this is not the gym for you. On the bright side, had this not happened, I would have never found out that Crunch Fitness offers the same membership at a lower price, with more machines, newer equipment, the same amenities, and they actually have classes. So, I guess, thank you for pushing me to move on to better things, Farah Horigan. Neither you nor your subpar gym will be missed.

Cancelled my son’s membership many months ago. They keep charging my debit card the monthly fee. Went to this gym three times to try and discontinue this erroneous billing. They acknowledge his membership is canceled, but can’t figure out how to stop the billing.
They assured me a manager will look into it and call me. Manager never called nor did anything to fix it as they continue to charge my card. I will now have to go to my bank and cancel my debit card to stop paying for something I don’t have.

This facility is consistently clean. All of the equipment is maintained. Staff is very friendly.
I enjoy working out here compared to the other local gyms in the EB area.

The TRX straps have just been removed from the back room. I was informed that someone on the management team thought it was dangerous? TRX was designed to be used anywhere (travel gym), it even has an foam attachment that can used between a door jam. The latch allows you to attach it to any stable pole, fence, and or tree. You don't need a special bar to attach it to like some gyms have. The equipment it was attached in the back was perfectly stable, please put it back! It would also be nice to replace the medicine ball that was cracked/broken over a year ago. Other PF locations have at least one ball.

Clean, average selection of equipmentCan get the job done.Staff is nice.They are not 24 hours but I guess the membership can't justify 24/7.Recommend

0 start if I could, No mirrors in the wall I think is important when you lift weights ?️ to see your posture and positions I feel trap, bad staff members aren’t professional at all don’t even bother toSay good morning to them, they talk about everyone like they don’t have nothing better to do.definitely I’mCanceling my membership.

Lacking equipment in back room compared to other planet fitness but overall the gym is acceptable for the price. Very busy when we went in the evening on a weekday.
