Ken was friendly with my father many years ago but a complete j*** to me after he passed away. My father used to go there often to chat and hang out as he was an old time mechanic and owned his own shop. One incident was when I took my Wife's old car there for a repair he told me to come back later while he was talking to another one of his friends. I had to walk down the road to the small restaurant and wait because I was not welcome. I would "not" take ANYTHING to this guy to get fixed if he was the last mechanic on Earth. Complete j******

Brought car in for a simple exhaust leak, mechanic says front pipe needs replacement, but he can't find the part anywhere locally for less than $700, but that he would try to order it for less. A few days later he tells me he still can't find the part and I should look for it myself. Called the local stores and both had it in stock for $360. Brought the part in at 5:40pm but the place was already closed (8AM-6PM?). Called the next day to check on the status and mechanic tells me he's really busy and won't be able to start on it until sometime next week (2nd week) and that it's my fault for not getting the part earlier in the week. I guess it's my fault for believing when he said that the two local stores did not stock the part. I would've bought it a week ago and saved $350 on a car rental had I called myself, or better yet used a different auto shop.
