Provident Bank is the most outdated banking institution I’ve had the displeasure of doing business within the last 20 years. After 3 years of dealing with their dated policies, delayed communications, old school mentality and antiquated business practices, I couldn’t take it anymore. Unfortunately, their staff tend to match this culture, too. The lack of commitment to do better made me realize I don’t want to trust them with my financial needs.

This by far has been the worst bank I’ve ever been to. I had tons of coins and the teller told me to just dump it in the machine didn’t notify that there was a fee. If I knew there was a fee I would’ve kept my money. Afterwards they took my information in a piece of broken paper and when I asked for the paper before I left they said they can’t give it back because it has to go in their file. Mind you the old lady input it in the system already & had a nasty attitude following with the other teller which said I’m busy sorry I can’t help. Also I asked to change my money into 100$ and they said I can’t do that because you are not a memeber. What bank declines a customer. When I asked what I have to do to become one they just said nobody is available so we can’t help. When I asked to speak to the higher up they all were nasty. They do no care about your opinion and seems like their life is miserable that they want to make a customer miserable. I’ve been to many other banks and never felt this way about it. I would definitely never in my life make business with this bank. Horrible customer service. Horrible tellers working and horrible ways of communicating things to customers. Disgusting. If you’re miserable don’t take it off on customers.

Tried to make a withdrawal I was informed amounts over 5k there is a waiting period of 1 week and I couldn't make a withdrawal which was confirmed by senior rep and manager "It's part of our policy" I go to another Provident and was informed there is no such policy. I will be withdrawing and not banking with Provident any longer.

Senior bank officer who assisted me was very insulting and does not have customer relations skills. She sprayed disinfectant while I was still seated and made me feel like I was contagious and dirty.

I'm looking for a bank who respects its customers. A bank that is fair and honest. Is it too much to ask today??? Over the years I have been witness to the rape of humanity concerning the banks and our hard earned money/wages. Look who's on the always winning side? Is there such a bank?
