We have been going here for years and service has declined immensely! They give you an appointment and make you wait in the car for hours. Last Saturday was the final straw. We got there at 9:30 for a 10:00 appointment and by 11:00 was still not seen. They stated that they gave us a 10:30 appointment. We did call to let them know how dissatisfied we were and they waisted over 1 1/2 hours of our time leading to losing our business along with our 4 our cats. They did not seem to care. We will be taking our pets to a more reputable veterinarian. Very disappointed!!

I followed friends of my friend recommendations. I was looking for a vet for my two dogs since we moved in NJ last year. They are very kind and giving reasonable price. We are looking to stay with this animal hospital.

Dr. Diggle is the best! Our 14 1/2 year old dog has seen him nearly all his life for regular appointments and one emergency - a fight with a raccoon. He has always listened and addressed all our concerns. He gives us enough information that we can make informed decisions about our animals' care. He is kind and gentle with our little guy. We once brought our sick parakeet in, and Dr. Diggle was as kind and attentive to him as he is with our dog. He is very honest about an animal's condition and does not do unnecessary testing. He also gives treatment options and gives enough information that we can make an informed decision about what should or should not be done. There are at least 6 veterinary offices closer to us, but Dr. Diggle is worth the trip.

I brought my dog in for dental cleaning. I cannot say enough good things about my experience at Dumont Animal Hospital. Dr. Diggle and his team were outstanding. They took the time to explain everything throughout the process. Dr. Diggle took a few before photos so he could explain everything and so I would be better able to understand. My dog is doing exceptionally well and he seems like a new dog after having the cleaning, 3 teeth, and 3 polyps removed.

Great compassionate people working there. Very helpful staff accommodating and pleasant to deal with. The waiting area is a bit cramped but you don't have to wait long because they keep to their appointment times.

Very nice animal hospital my family has gone to for years. Be descriptive about the issue over the phone, leave your contact info and pets name and they will make your appointment.We've had to come for various health issues with our pets and every time DAH has been there to help. Even one of the toughest experiences when we had to put down my late Chillie (bull mastiff) they comforted us and made the experience a little bit better. To helping the newest member of our family Bleu the French bull dog, unfortunately pups can sometimes get worms so DAH helped me to solve that issue as well. Now he's all better.Give them a call !

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. If you’re looking for a vet that cares about you and your pet, I highly recommend you DO NOT GO TO DUMONT ANIMAL HOSPITAL! They refused to give me my cats blood work. Called me at 830pm when the office was closed (at7pm) I tried to call back and had no response. Why worry someone like that!? Didn’t sleep in fear that my cat has kidney or liver disease. Called the following morning and they refused to give me the results. Told me the doctor would call me that evening, leaving me to wait again until 830pm. I was in fear that he needed emergency care. The receptionist at the front desk was a nightmare, refused to help and told me the doctor wasn’t in the office and then proceeded to hang up the phone on me. I arrived at the office 10 mins later, she ignored me, then left the room leaving me there hysterically crying. Then who popped out of the door? THE DOCTOR. The other lady at the desk nonchalantly slid me over the bloodwork for my cat (which they said they didn’t have a record for and had to wait until the evening to receive) the WORST experience of my life. They don’t treat your animal like family, they couldn’t care less. Charged me 600 dollars and had me pre pay for services I didn’t receive. Complete scam of a business. Even tried to have me come in for another appointment when all I asked for was the blood work. Please do not go here. I was screamed at and ignored. I hope this help anyone looking for genuine care. I am sick to my stomach.

I’ve been taking my pups and cats here for several years now and they’ve seen some good Vets that are no longer there. Most recently my pups have been going to Dr Diggles (the head of the practice) and he has been just amazing! You never feel rushed, he explains everything and you can tell he truly cares for your pets. Though I’ve moved away and it’s a minimum drive of 45-50 mins with no traffic, it’s absolutely worth it to have peace of mind knowing your pets are receiving the best care.

I have a regular vet but have used Dumont because they have emergency appointments available. I have seen several Vets there but love Dr. Diggle. The wait can be long sometimes but I trust the care my pets receive. Vet techs have always been great. I have received calls after to check on my pets. Prices are affordable. I would recommend them.
