PROS: This is a spacious Sal army that has nice staff members and good quality items. Large variety of items and line moves quickly CONS: Most items aren't even priced while other items are priced high. scarce street parking and not in the best area OVERALL: If you're in the area and are looking for moderately affordable items then come here. But if you're looking for a dirt cheap, safe area, spot maybe not the best place to go to

I love this store and I'm proud to say I'm a frequent flyer. I've been donating and shopping here for forty years with no complaints whatsoever. I find shopping here exhilarating, there's nothing better than finding hidden treasure thru out the store. Whether its new, nearly new or used, when you find what you're looking for you feel like you've hit the jack pot. The store is clean and organized, there's a section for men, women and children and the clothes are arranged by color not by size so be prepared to go thru the racks. Everything else is strategically placed thru out; furniture, toys, shoes, dishes, electronics, etc. There's something for everyone if you invest a little time in the store. I'm not here to minimize the opinion of others, however, I feel compelled to tell you that unless you're in the "know", are well versed in antiques, relics, vintage and brand names you should educate yourself. What you may consider junk is someone else's treasure. I frequent this store weekly and have gotten to know everyone that has worked here past and present. I can't say enough about the staff especially Shelly, the store manager, who has done a phenomenal job in her role. She is highly respected and regarded amongst the employees and customers. Jack, who I've known for years as well is the go to person when Shelly is not on the floor, he can be found at the register and knows this place like the back of his hand. Another employee that I'd like to mention is Tina. Not only is she instrumental in keeping order in the back where the merchandise comes out she makes sure everything is up to par on the floor.

For the past 10 plus years, my family and I have been frequent donors and shoppers at the Salvation Army Thrift Store and Donation Center located in Dover, New Jersey. The manager, Chely, has always been very compassionate, understanding, and accommodating to me and my family. This same level of customer service also extents to others including my friends. Therefore, we will continue to frequent the store, as Chely is a valuable asset to the organization.

Your prices are outrageous. You're selling dollar tree items for $3.99 and $4.99. This is a low income area, you're supposed to be helping people, not taking advantage of them.

This is the most deplorable establishment I’ve ever been to. The manager is rude and arrogant. To think the amount of times we’ve donated to this place for them to treat my family as awfully as they have. I hope someone sees this. The manager needs to replaced. This is a charitable organization and either it’s a scam organization or this woman is giving the entire chain a bad name

I’ve never had a worse experience visiting a store. The manager Chele does not know how to speak with customers and was extremely dismissive and barely wanted to talk to me. I wanted to buy an item that was on the floor with a tag that said .99 and she refused to sell it to me because apparently the tag was not labeled correctly. Even after I said I was willing to pay the price of the item she refused to sell it to me and would not turn to face me or talk to me when I tried talking to her. Needless to say they may need to train their employees on what customer service means and I’m not sure how she has the position she does with that attitude and what seems like a distaste for people. The cashier and other employee were very nice and maybe one of them could replace her.

Every time I try to come here they are closed. One time I came 1 hour and 20 minutes before the time they are supposed to close and the old guy at the door wouldn’t let anyone in even though there were still people shopping. Came back another time even earlier and the same guy would let anyone in. Tried asking him when they are actually open and just said they are closed and turned his back to us. Not even going to bother trying again.

[Last visit was in 2020] A bit messy, but most things are usually organized and the store has a large assortment of different things, including furniture. I have found some fun stuff in this store but one thing that prevents me from a full rating is that the staff always seemed very irritated at the cusomers

We dropped off a bunch of stuff from a garage sale. There wasn't anyone in back of the store to tell us where or what to do. Just big black bins to dump stuff in.
