My family experienced the most disgusting discrimatory customer service I've ever heard of from the staff here today. Initially, my wife was rudely greeted by the cashier (Blair) where Blair told her with a nasty attitude "I'm coming!" as my wife was putting up the grocercies by the register, 3~4 items at this time. This was definitely out of the norm from this establishment because our previous experiences at this location along with other Trader Joe's locations were extremely pleasant. Then Blair blatantly went off to tell my wife after she handed her our credit card that "this card is fraud!", having other patrons near the register hear her. There could have been multiple different ways that I can think of on how this could have been addressed. If the card did not go through or declined, any REASONABLE person could have professionally and/or politely asked my wife for a different card. First, the credit card that she used was completely fine and it would not have declined. Second, how can anyone embarass someone in front of others like that? Third, if you're going to accuse someone of in possession/use of a fraud credit card then you should call for the law enforcement authorities instead.
My wife, who was extremely embarassed and infuriated from this encounter, quickly diffused herself from this situation along with our 7mos old baby from the register after paying with a different card. My wife then went on to speak with Blair's supervisor, Brian (who wasn't any better or helpful). My wife explained about her upsetting encounter with Blair to Brian and requested to run through our 'fraud' credit card again. Then of course, it goes through without any issues. They also seemed thoroughly 'surprised' as if they were hoping the card would decline. My wife then asked them to run it through for the second time. Again, it goes through with no issues. They even had the audacity to ring up our groceries again! Even though they were already paid. The most disturbing part about this result was that not one of them bothered to apologize or correct the misunderstanding, but instead tried to move on as if nothing happened.
My wife asked for the Trader Joe's Customer Relation's contact information from Brian, where he responded by telling her that he did not know the phone number but that she could locate their email from Trader Joe's main website. It took me literally less than 2 minutes to locate their phone number while Brian spent more than 10 minutes to look for it from their computer. I was able to contact 'Cary' from Trader Joe's Customer Relations, who was extremely empathetic and understanding while she noted our complaint. She informed me that the site branch captain was off today but reassured us that the site branch captain would be informed of this matter and that we'll be expecting a response shortly.
I hate to assume that my wife was discriminated because of our ethnicity. While my wife was rudely greeted by Blair, Blair leaned over the register to greet the caucasian patron with a baby in the stroller by sweetly saying "hi, how are you?!" standing behind my wife, who was also with our baby in the stroller. How can I not assume that my wife and our baby was discriminated? It is truly disgusting.
If you can see the lengths that I am taking to address and express this grievance to this extent, you can tell how infuriated I am with these specific staff members here (Blair and Brian). I bear no animosity against this location, their product itself is actually great. I sincerely pray that no one else ever experience the kind of encounter my family encountered here today and hope that their higher management take all applicable corrective action/re-training on their staff in order to prevent such incidents from happening again to anyone.

I would like to say and congratulate all the cashiers of this store, every time I visit the store, what you can see is the kindness and good approach of the employees.
Last time I was attended by S George. Thank you for your kindness and excellent customer service, Trader Joe’s your employees make your customers come back.
I hope the company knows how to appreciate the good personal they have, it is important to have happy employees because that way it is reflected in the success of your business.
