M&T Bank offers great products and services for small businesses like mine. Randy the Branch Manager at this location is great to work with. He is knowledgeable, friendly, and answers all my questions honestly. Which is something very important when working with a business bank. Their Credit Card Services are excellent, and offer great benefits for every dollar you spend.

Terrible service. Hotter than hell in the place where patrons have to wait. Lady at the counter went on break and nobody else went to window to help us during her 15 minute break. There were 2 other ladies in the bank and nobody said she'd be right back, she went on break, or asked if they could help us.

I'm not a big fan of banks, but I must say that I was in and out less than 30 minutes. I was quickly taken care of and had all my needs/issues addressed professionally. I didn't deal with the tellers, and I normally don't have to anyway, but I will say that tellers can be a little rude (past experience). I have both personal and business accounts here and have had no issues as of yet.

When attempting to pay out mortgage today at the Denville NJ branch, my wife was subjected to an extremely rude, unprofessional, and deplorable teller named Marina. Marina was difficult, condescending, and engaged some of the worst customer service behavior my wife has ever encountered. When attempting to PAY A BILL, no one should be judged based on anything other than their ability to PAY that bill. Instead, Marina judged my wife on appearance and gave her an difficult time paying. A transaction that should have taken 5 minutes, was drawn out and the treatment endured required that I contact the branch supervisor, as the manager was on vacation. When I was informed my mortgage was being sold to M and T I saw the reviews (1.1 stars consumer affairs, 3.3 on BBB) and rolled my eyes. Yet, every time I have had to deal with M and T I was delightfully surprised. However today it became glaringly obvious as to why M and T has such a poor reputation. The treatment of my family by that branch is unacceptable. I can say with honesty that any chance M and T had of maintaining our business had been successfully destroyed by today's interaction. Update - bank manager Kyle koloskie lied to corporate about contacting us to resolve issue. Eventually he did call but merely regurgitated the same nonsense about the shining star that is Marina. If that is M and T banks pinnacle of customer service the bar must be extremely low. Apparently any mouth breather that crawls out from under a rock can ascend the customer service ladder.
