Some Chase branches are better than others. Not sure why the reviews on this are so bad cuz this branch is great. Ample parking, drive thru ATM. I have never had to wait too long. Most important, the cashiers listen to you and do their job with a smile.

Outstanding service at the Chase Denville, New Jersey Branch. Kudos go to Branch Manager, Donna Estrada, Christine Wotnicki and Eugeniya Ponomareva for their efficiency, but more importantly their welcoming smiles and sincere interest in customers at Chase Bank. I have been a banker at Chase since 1986, as well as, a resident and former teacher in The Denville School System. The present team at Chase in Denville is wonderful. Not only have I personally experienced this treatment, but I have observed the same courtesy and concern being given when other bankers are present in the bank as well. Denville, New Jersey is a wonderful community desiring courteous treatment given at all times to residents and those who may come into our community to be serviced by a business or corporation located in our town. Thank you, Donna Estrada, for your excellent leadership as Bank Manager!

Ms. Estrada and Leysa were a great help in helping me with a power of attorney for my dear sister. This current crew is good.

This branch needs to have more than one person able to open accounts and preform notary service. I have been a Chase customer for two decades with many businesses and different accounts and never have had an issue with other branches getting my needs meet but this one.

Much like another reviewer, I cannot believe the STUPIDITY at this bank and the lack of compassion. My dad had passed away in 2019 from a heart attack suddenly. Not even a week after, I had called the bank to inform them because he was listed as an “authorized user” on my account.Obviously a week after he had passed, my family didn’t receive a certified death certificate until months later, which I was informed was required. During that time, I didn’t even live in the state of NJ and I’ve actually never gone to this branch (I’ve always gone to the Morris Plains branch), so I was surprised yesterday when I had received a call from a “Jennifer” from the Denville branch - she had left a voicemail. That’s where the problem began.I had called back immediately and I didn't realize it would take me 15 minutes and a lot of frustration just to get a live representative on the phone with all of the prompts. When I finally did, I told the woman I had received a phone call from a woman named “Jennifer”. She told me there was no one by that name… now I’m thinking maybe it was fraudulent? So I said well I received a call from XYZ phone number and she said “oh that’s (insert her name here which I couldn’t understand)”.I get a hold of the woman who had called and she asked if I had a better phone number for (my dad) because they’ve tried him several times and he hadn’t picked up because they have a “special promotion” for him… I told the woman on the phone he hasn’t pick up BECAUSE HES 6 FEET OVER IN AN URN AT MY MOMS HOUSE!What really blows my mind is that he had MULTIPLE accounts with Chase that my mom had to close/reassign to herself, and she’s provided a certified death certificate to do that… I have no idea how it hasn’t translated over to my account but the lack of compassion was just pathetic. Obviously I laughed out loud at the woman when I gave my answer because it’s been 4 years since his passing and they had the audacity to call me and use my information on MY account to get a phone number for him. Somethings not right there…If I could recommend a branch to bank at, the Morris Plains Chase bank is very nice.

So slow to get your own money. Changing banks is definitely on the horizon. No more drive thru in Morristown and in Denville - took 20+ min to get some cash. So disappointing!

Anita Johnson is one of the worst people I have ever encountered. I have unfortunately had to speak to her on about 4-5 occasions (two in person, 2-3 on phone) to handle an estate account issue for my deceased father, and every single experience was horrible. She was so incredibly condescending, rude, mean, and not helpful in the least. Not only did she insult me and talk down to me, she yelled at me and said she would not talk to me when I began crying (my father died tragically and dealing with his estate has been hard for me) because I was “upset!” She still won’t assist me with my issue (I have since escalated the issue and am dealing with someone in corporate who has been kind) and would constantly interrupt me, talk over me, and repeat the same things to me in order to make me feel stupid. Not only that, she said she was “very confused” because my last name didn’t match my account (I got married, not confusing at all) and when I told her the previous teller instructed me to use my card with my maiden name until it expired, she berated me once again. She asked to see my card, and when I showed her she grabbed it and snapped it in half. If you’re going to work in customer service, especially with a new mom who is grieving, you CAN NOT behave this way. She was so unprofessional it actually blew my mind. I will be filing multiple formal complaints against this woman. If you go to this branch, STAY AWAY from her. She’s not there to help, she’s clearly miserable and wants to make everyone else miserable too.

Anita Johnson is by far the worst employee of this branch. I actually have witnessed her make a customer cry. She is the epitome of what’s wrong in this world. How she is still working here, I have no clue. She is MEAN, goes out of her way to NOT help you and I will be taking all my money to another bank because of her specifically. I urge this branch to fire her immediately. I’m not sure why she is this way, but it’s unjust regardless.
