I really wanted to LIKE the Acme grocery store in Denville NJ and make it my go-to local grocer. But I can't spend half my time in the store waiting for the cashier to call 3 times for a price check, or go to Customer Service on my way out because I realized I was overcharged after paying. In 8 out of the last 8 visits, there was an overcharged item. I learned a while ago to NEVER pick up any items that had no price tag - the item next to a $3.00 competitor could ring up as $6.99! Disappointed. I have to go elsewhere.

A pleasant pharmacist gave me 2 shots. Prompt and professional. Plus I got a coupon.

Some of the employees leave a little to be desired in the way of professionalism and the place is overpriced.

There are times when I only need an item or two so go there as it's a mile from home. Then I remember why I don't shop there. The staff are the rudest in the industry. You can tell that they hate their jobs. There is literally no customer service. You say hello and they ignore you. There is only one cash register open at 9:30 am on a Saturday with a line of customers at self-register. if that's not bad enough, there's an employee in the middle of the isle with a cart of bins playing on her phone and you say 3 times "excuse me" hoping she can move to the side for you and others to pass. Completely disgustEd with this store. I miss the A&P!

This is the worst! Only one person at deli during a very busy time. He's trying his best so it isn't his fault. Obviously management doesn't care. Cashiers standing around while the person at deli goes nuts. I stopped coming here a while back and now I remember why. Salads and vegetables look worn out.

The worst...The older woman/manager that has been there since Denville was founded is nasty at best. There is NEVER a person around to assist and if they are there, it's either a "no" or "I don't know". While the produce seems fresh, it's overpriced. This is true with ALL other products. We pass this store to go Shop-rite in Dover/Rockaway where the service is spectacular. The ONLY reason to come is for the occasional sale item and last second convenience. Otherwise stay away or visit Bank of America before going in.

I wasted $395.00 at the Acme in Danville! Wasted! No Pastrami Turkey in the deli. No Grillo's specialty pickles (the best). No Bubba burgers. When I saw the total of my purchases, I was SO tempted to say "I don't want anything" and walk out! My advice: Go to STOP AND SHOP. They have everything you want at much better prices.

What a peasant experience shopping at Acme this morning! I was met outside the door by an employee (in a mask) who was probably checking masks and number of shoppers. I read the billboard about self-checking my health and went on my way. There were plenty of wipes to disinfect my cart. Stopped at pharmacy and she was professional and pleasant. As I shopped throughout the store all workers and customers were masked, polite, and following the arrows. My cashier was cheerful and awesome. This is such a scary time and it is frightening to leave your home to shop in public. I was just so impressed by what acme was doing! Oh! In frozen the employee asked what I was looking for and reached high and back in the case to get it for me. I was also asked if I needed help in the front of the store. Well done, Acme, for rising above during this stressful time. I appreciate all that you do!

During this social distance time. They at the Denville store remained professional and respectful. They all deserve a great big thank you.

Absolutely the worst. I live .2 miles away and I will never come here again. They are way over priced, routinely out of stock of basic Items like bagels, scallions, avocados.. etc. Tryinng to get someone to help in other depts is futile. I waited 10 min at the seafood dept, finally got someone to page over head and no one came. I'm fed up after repeated second chances. I will drive ten minutes to either ShopRite in Dover or TJ in Denville. I've had enough of their bs

Produce is horrible here. Went to get an onion, so many fruit flies all over the place. Strawberries are never good either.

There's a creepy guy who now mans the self-checkout. He's obviously trying to justify his job, but all he's doing is annoying anyone using the convenience. Ironically, he was annoying people at the regular checkout, too.
