Golf course review.
I was here for an event where we got to play 36 holes. I enjoyed every minute of this experience. From the drive in, you see some incredible bunkering (especially a beautiful volcano bunker on the left), a fantastic clubhouse, and a beautifully laid out golf course. This place is pure. The clubhouse has a great vibe to it. There is a big outside patio out back with several dining areas. On the other side of the driveway is another house that holds a small eating area, a beautiful bar, and a great locker room. The next building over hosts the caddies and a modest but nicely stocked pro shop.
The golf course itself is in my top ten that I have played. I just wish I could come back and explore it some more. As I said the bunkering really stands out. Many are outlined in tall fescue and are menacing obstacles on each hole. The fairways lean and meander wonderfully. For me, the greens truly stand out. Each one creates its own dramatic picture. I felt like any time I had a 30+ foot putt, I had a chance to get close if I hit something perfectly. However, I also had a chance to hit the wrong side of a hump and be 10+ feet away from the hole. They definitely had some fun but challenging hole locations for each round, and it tested everyone's abilities once they got to the green. This is a course I could play every day and not get tired of it. Someday soon I hope to meet a member and get a chance to relive the magic!

Straight class!10/12 First time playing a Walter J. Travis course & first time having 1st tee jitters in a while ?. Greens were beautiful rolling true around 11-11.5 & the 3 bunkers I found myself in were perfect amount of sand and feel to them. (1,11,17!!!) Got me! I can definitely see it going south quickly with 3+ putts on these greens and pin placements! The rough is short but thick and fescue recently mowed around bunkers for tournament they just had which helped my score. I really enjoyed the layout and Hollywood’s atmosphere!

Fabulous scenic location. Sprawling golf course which is connected to patio dining. In addition to the lovely patio you have sunset dining. Staff is very accommodating and present which is a nice rarity in this world. Dedicated to promoting lovely family events.
