Walked in this morning (Saturday 9:15am) NOBODY in the bank aside from the teller and the manager sitting at her desk. I exchanged some pleasantries with the manager and then asked the teller to exchange a larger bill for some $5 & $1 bills. She refused to do so without an account number. I explained, to both the teller and the manager. that I am not a Princeton Bank customer but had plenty of id and if neccessary would go withdraw money from their ATM if that would make it easier for them to get me the smaller bills I needed. The response was a hard " NO- we can only do it for account holders!" So much for the "Community Bank" I have been a local resident for over 25 years as well as owning 2 local businesses. If I ran my businesses that way...I wouldn't last very long! The fact is that the manager could have actually done the transaction should she have wanted to! This sense of arrogance is not what "communities" are about. Those in a community strive to help others in the community, with some often going "above and beyond" what is required to do so. Shame on this bank...and the next time I get a call from The Bank of Princeton's new business developement department, I'll be sure to relate to them why I would NEVER do business with them!
