Call me anytime to hear of my horrible experience with Al Perez at Jersey Mortgage on how I was charged 7 points the day before my closing on a $100K loan. I will explain in detail how I was screwed by this company. I'll tell you how Al Perez also didn't lock the rate until the day before the closing so I couldn't back out of the deal or risk losing my $10K deposit. Then I'll tell you how nice Al Perez was until he hit me with a 7 point fee the day before the closing. When I questioned it his exact words were "stop complaining, you got a good deal on a house, didn't you?". If you do your homework and get a good deal, Al may see it as an opportunity to charge you more points. Be careful. Now let's read the heart felt reply below from the damage control dept.

I thought buying a home was going to be stressful, annoying and just complicated, Yet my experience was the opposite. I was given 4 mortgage reps to choose from through my realtor. Out of the 4; I chose Scott because of how experienced he is, I chose Scott for his honesty, for not selling me fake dreams, for being on top of everything and most importantly for his availability.
6 months it took for me to find my dream home and the closing process was so simple and easy.( Scott had already requested a list from me which I provided. )
