“My very first visit, and you definitely feel very safe!
I discovered that I was eligible to use it, due to service connected disability? The commissary and BX are huge and very clean, I expected nothing less. According to my main buyer (my wife), the prices were not as attractive as we thought they'd be given that military personnel don't make a lot of money? Some reasonable buys in fresh meats, bacon and a few other products, but not worth our trip. I hope they do better with their prices in the future, Military families need a financial break. We plan on visiting the Lakehurst commissary, much smaller, but a lot closer. Stay tuned for my review.”
“Overall experience was very good. They sell halal so please those who are trying to say otherwise it’s not true. It’s a respectful place, can get confusing ,610 is their work center and 612 is their office. So I made the purchase at the office for bulk purchase of whole with skin chicken. Please call before going. Only thing remember they sell whole sale, they sell uncut meat. My only challenge was that the chicken were frozen so thawing it safely became important. I thawed it in fridge partially as I had to refreeze it again as individual package and then separated the chicken which were all stuck to each other. Alhamdulilah, the chicken was fresh, even if it was frozen and I knew about this beforehand. Overall good experience. Inshallah will try goat if I get a butcher.”
“I stopped by here to try their Johnston Pork Roll (thank you YouTube for leading me here). This one does NOT curl up when I cooked their Pork Roll slices (so cutting the iconic edges is not necessary for this brand). Texture and flavor is outstanding! Definitely can tell it is made by hand and not overly processed like other Pork Roll/Taylor Ham brands. Goes very well with eggs and white rice.
Their kielbasa on a stick is really good too.
Definitely going back to get another 6 pounder (or 3 pounder) when my family finishes it.”
