The friendly attitudes and gentle handling I saw with staff here was heartwarming. Yeti is a very special little guy and I was worried about his health after he escaped his tank and was adventuring for several days without a trace. Finding him was delightful enough already, but hearing that Rothman Animal Hospital could squeeze in a checkup last minute without having ever met us? The cherry on top. My hamster felt at-home with the vet and her tech, both very patient people.

They have very bad customer service. They do not handle big dogs well. They seem to be afraid to touch and handle them. Way overpriced.

I just now read your snarky remarks and insincere back handed well wishes for me and my pets because of the review I left 2 years ago.Since you claim you don't know why i left a 2 star review, I will explain.Yes, I missed 1 appointment with a tech for a vaccine booster and didn't call because I didn't remember I had an appointment. People aren't perfect, they make mistakes.Common courtesy and good customer relations would have been for you to not to fine me $25 considering I have never missed an appointment in the many years I've been a client with multiple pets and have given you many thousands of dollars. Thanks, I and my pets have been very happy with our new veterinarians and paying less for much better care and service

Dr. Screnci is so wonderful, amazing, awesome, compassionate, caring, kind, considerate, sweet, and heart-warming. She is above and beyond. She has very positive energy. Mimi had red eye, Dr. Screnci examed Mimi and provided the drop. Mimi got healed after only 2 drops. We are so very very happy for Mimi, and we are so gratwful to Dr. Screnci. Lulu was coughing. Lulu's coughs went away after taking only half of the pill that Dr. Screnci prescribed. We are gratefully happy. Our million thanks to Dr. Screnci. Mimi and Lulu are so healthy thanks to Dr Screnci's amazing expertise. Also, the Front Desk Receptionist were super friendly, kind, nice, and very sweet. Great customer services. We love and respect Dr. Screnci. We appreciate the wonderful customer services at the hospital. Everybody treated pets like Angels, Princes, and Prince. Dr. Screnci loves and care about our pets with her heart. We love Dr. Screnci and wonderful Receptionist in the front who made us feel comfortable and happy. Again we are very grateful and feel very blessed. Mimi and Lulu thank you Dr Screnci. We all thank you Dr. Screnci and everyone there at the hospital from the bottom of our hearts.

Dr. M. Screnci has been caring for my pets for about 10 years. She helped us reverse one of our cats’ liver issue and she always offers great tips on how to increase our pets’ quality of life.Dr. Screnci reminds me of the one of the vets from the old school days… the doctors who took their time and provided well rounded care to animals… simply because they gave a darn.I am thankful for the years of caring / thorough service from Dr. Screnci and for the 26 years of great service to all of my pets from Shelly and the rest of the Rothman team.

I was a previous client for 20+ plus years at Rothman. I left for 10 years due to moving a little further out from their office. After the pandemic I decided to return back to Rothman with my 2 senior geriatric animals. It was the best decision I made! The drs. there are kind and caring and go above and beyond to help me take care of my pets. I had to eventually put my cat to sleep in January and Dr. Dixon was wonderful. she walked me and my daughter through the process and remained in the room afterwards to support and answer all of our questions. My 16+ dog is now under her care and she is so supportive and understanding of his geriatric and health needs. Dr. Esser is also wonderful! He was very kind and understanding of when my dog fell ill right after the loss of our cat. Thank you for taking care of my pets. I appreciate everyone's support and kindness at Rothmans.

Took my cat here for years for routine check ups then she got sick and that’s when it went down hill. They gave her thyroid medication and shortly there after she was itchy and scratchy to the point of bleeding. Vet recommended I bring her in and they ran all kinds of tests and blood work. Vet said unsure of what was going on. I found out later it was a very common reaction to thyroid medication which tends to go away on its own. Not sure how he didn’t put that together since it’s right on the paperwork of the meds. I keep bringing her in and the vet says I must not be giving her meds consistently because thyroid is still low and she’s on a super high dose. We actually nearly get into an argument about this where I’m defending myself from his accusations. Cat start dripping saliva all over the house non stop and I take her in again where they tell me they are unsure but more blood work and injections. Every time I bring her in it’s $500. Finally I’ve had enough and switch vets where they find her meds were not low but way to high and it was evident from the blood work showing readings that here thyroid was way high so the dose should have been lower. When transferring the paper work to my new vet it was said in the comments that I was probably not consistently medicating ?.Upon check up at the new vet they found an obvious inoperable tumor and she was put down a few weeks later. Had I stayed at rothman I can only imagine how many more $500 visits it would’ve taken them to find this. Save you your pet, time, and money and go somewhere else.

I’m very picky when it comes to vets but this office beyond surpassed my expectations. My normal vet’s urgent care was slammed and they were diverting, I happened to know of Rothman because my dog had been treated there briefly. They were able to get me in immediately when I called, there was no wait time when I pulled up and the entire visit took only just over an hour. Their prices were incredibly reasonable (!!!) compared to almost every other vet in the area. Personally I saw Dr. Parvanch Larijani, she was so careful, kind, and patient with the cat I brought in. She explained everything she found heath wise, the treatment plan, and how much each thing would cost (very impressive, not many vets I’ve meet have been able to tell me prices off the top of their heads). The desk staff and all the techs were super friendly and helpful, overall I had one of the least stressful vet visits and I will be going back.

Dont bring your pet here.We wanted to love this place because its so close to our home in Collingswood. We took our dog here when she was having an allergic reaction, foaming at the mouth and not breathing. When I pulled into the parking lot 7 months pregnant and holding my 18lb little 5 year old boston terrier who is gasping for air, they literally asked me to put on a mask. OUTSIDE. I was like ARE YOU ACTUALLY KIDDING ME. They wouldn't let me in. $750 later, "We found nothing wrong. Next time take her to a hospital- this isn't an animal hospital even though our name is 'Rothman animal hospital'." Wait, WHAT? $750 a told us to monitor her and that we shouldnt have brought her to them to begin with. Good to know.Second time we came in a month later for a double ear infection they said it was a $74 charge for an office visit. Then before even assessing, said it would be $55 PER EAR to culture each ear. I am a nurse by trade, and I asked them, what does the $75 cover if not to even physically ASSESS my dog? Why dont you take a look at her, LOOK in her ears, ask me a question or two, before racking up the bill? Im not a vet- but one ear looked and smelled bacterial, and the other looked and smelled like yeast. What do you know? No need for cultures once a simple ASSESSMENT was done.At the end of the visit I asked for her rabies vaccine and they said she wasn't due for another 2 weeks. Im like its been 4 years, really? Two weeks is going to matter? I said I am not paying an assessment fee if I come back in 2 weeks for two vaccines. She just had her check up. They grumbled but agreed to do a "nurse visit". At this point Im asking for prices up front for everything. I was told $34 and $54 for the vaccines.I came back and they (again) wouldn't let me inside, 3.5 years later and these people are still concerned about covid. Then they brought her out asking for $150 in charges. I said absolutely not. I was told $88. They didnt know where the prices had come from and came out 15 minutes later with a bill for $105, charging $49 per vaccine and administration fees for each vaccine. I had had it with this place. But wait theres more. The vaccines were at 10am. At 7pm our little girls face had swelled up, all her sinuses swelled full of fluid, welts and hives all over her entire body, her ears, mouth, face- everything that was white before, was dark red. She was lethargic and itching, and do you think these people gave us any warning of a reaction to look out for? No of course not. They are more concerned with a bill. Do you think they have an after hours phone line? Nope. Just a recording telling you to call an animal hospital (second reminder that THEY are giving you, that you should not have chosen them to begin with). My husband said, don't even call them in the morning to tell them what happened. We are literally never dealing with these people again. I did, I reported it to them so they wouldn't harm another family. What did the receptionist say? Oh goodness! She's good now? Oh man someone should have told you to look out for anaphylaxis. Welp, best of luck!Photos of the next morning versus the night before.

Don't bring your pets here. They will not accurately share the results of tests you pay for, causing a lapse in care. And even when the errors they make are calmly and clearly described to them, they will offer no kind of compensation and take no responsibility.Back in December our dog had blood trickling from his penis. My girlfriend and I quickly brought him in. They ran a urinalysis (forget the exact price but something like $200.00) and we waited in our car for the results. The vet called us while we were in the parking lot to tell us that the urinalysis came back "relatively normal" (my girlfriend and I distinctly remember this wording, it was on speaker phone), but that our dog still might have an infection in his urinary tract. They advised that we give him a course of antibiotics (clavacillin) but said that since the results were negative for bacteria, that we could end the course early if he seemed to be doing better. That was the extent of the description they gave us for the urinalysis results, and recommended care. They never offered to schedule a follow-up visit to run another urinalysis to compare results. So we gave our pup roughly half the course of clavacillin and he seemed to be doing fine, so we stopped. We thought that was strange, but the vets know best, right?Six weeks later (02/10/2023) he began bleeding again. I promptly scheduled an appointment, called out from work, and brought my dog back. Except this time I could accompany my dog inside, which I elected to do. When the second vet started describing the notes the previous vet had left for the initial urinalysis, I was shocked. Apparently the first urinalysis had revealed that our pup's urine had both a high protein level, high pH level, and contained crystals. During the second visit I was told that all of these symptoms are warning signs of a bacterial infection. We were never told any of this during our first visit, just that the test was "relatively normal," and it didnt necessarily indicate a bacterial infection, and we could just run a partial course of antibiotics to be safe.I understandably became frustrated and let the vet know that I never want the previous vet to care for our dogs again, because obviously there's some kind of lapse between what she sees in the results, what she writes down in her notes, and what she tells the customers who paid for the tests. They wanted me to get another urinalysis and culture done that day (02/10). Those would both be an additional charge on top of the $291.52 I'd be paying for the examination, xray, and new course of antibiotics. Oh, and they waived the $8 medical waste fee for me because there was no medical waste. I guess they normally just charge everyone that as a flat fee even if there's no medical waste I was told that even if I didnt elect to do another urinalysis and culture that day, I should still bring him back in 2 weeks after this course of antibiotics so they could conduct another urinalysis to ensure there's no lingering signs of infection. When I got home and calmed down, I thought, "This is ridiculous. They took my money, didnt share the results, and caused my dog to endure weeks of pain. I deserve some kind of compensation in good faith, especially if they still want my business." So I decided to call back and speak to the manager to see if the fee for the next urinalysis could be waived (or some other arrangement could be made), since they didnt accurately describe the results of the first one to us. I looped my girlfriend in on the call. She works in the medical field and understands the severity of inaccurate notes, not properly explaining diagnoses, etc.The manager couldn't have been less understanding. She said that since the information was in the notes, there was nothing they could do. We explained several times that what was in the notes wasn't what was actually shared with us or described to us, causing a lapse in proper care. Had we known there were crystals, a high level of proteins, and a high pH lev

My pup was a patient here years ago and I switched due to moving about a half hour further away. We made an appointment with Dr Miller for a follow-up echocardiogram. i could not have been more impressed with my experience. Someone came out to check me in then a tech came out immediately to get my pup. I no sooner settled back into the car that they were calling to say she was all done and that I could talk to the doctor. i said “are you sure you have the right person? You just took my dog in.” She said yep! I couldn’t believe how efficient they were! All around, such a fantastic experience. I was on my way home even before my schedule appointment time!

My family has been going here for years! Like 15 years give or take. I highly recommend because I truly trust them with the care of my fur children. I have 3 medium and giant breed dogs. No matter what they always take their time to answer questions and concerns. They show love to my animals when they are in their care. I don’t see it being possible to trust another clinic with my pups. Is it the 15 year relationship, absolutely. I have gotten to know them and they have gotten to know us! And from what I’ve gathered over the years is they are simply the best. Thank you doctors, vet techs, parking lot staff, you all are amazing at what you do! ❤️ The Chains
