Cooper River Yacht Club is an awesome place to learn to sail.Going into their adult beginner class, I knew nothing about sailing and had never so much as been on a sailboat. By the end, I felt comfortable taking out their larger boats for a 2 hour sail without any supervision.The class is very hands on with little whiteboard sessions to go over core concepts. The instructors were kind and patient giving great advice and getting us to the point where we knew what to do without needing to ask.I wish they had a little more info about what to bring on the class website. Nobody in the class got wet the entire time and I personally stopped bringing towels and water shoes after the second lesson. I'd just recommend a bit of sun block and bug spray.I'll be back!

Wonderful experience. Beautiful club and the day was perfect for our event today.Personnel on site were very kind and patient with the boats,etc.

We park in the lot and walk the track around the river. Its a 4.5 mile walk.

Picturesque South Jersey sailing venue right outside Philadelphia. Cooper River Yacht Club offers adult and kid's classes. It has recreational and competitive racing. And, you don't need a boat to enjoy the sailing because the club has boats for your use. It’s a great experience.
