The customer service here is worse than disgusting. Was just there. Paid 8$ more for antifreeze for convenience and this smug young jerk who was playing on his phone, could not be bothered looking up when i asked him which isle and where it was located in the store. Hes probably related to owner because i own a business in closter as well and wouldn't keep this kid if my life depended on it in my employ! Rude and disconnected. No one in the store either. He rang me up and didnt give me a receipt. I saw it in the tape machine and said "is that mine" he looked at it, then me, and said "yeah", like i was a moron. And then walked away with his face in the phone. Hubby warned me the place went down hill. Not a neighborhood feel hardware store n top dollar! It was 1145 on the 25th. Kid had a mop of curly hair n a puss on his face! (Term for an attitude)

Guys are very helpful whenever i stumble to store. Always come out to show me or recommend me an appliance or whatever else i m looking for. The store is a staple in my neighborhood and is the first place i visit when i need something for my home

Hometown is a great local hardware store. They have a large and wide-ranging inventory to meet your project needs. When something isn't in stock, just ask one of their friendly and knowledgeable staff. I inquired about zero-VOC paint for my next home project and the staff was able to order it for me.

Yesterday on the hottest day of the year, the fuses on our A/C condenser blew. I arrived at Hometown Hardware 10 minutes after their closing time just as two store workers were leaving. The gentleman in the NY Giants baseball cap said we are closed but what do you need. I explained and he said, how can I not try to help you on the hottest day. They reopened the store, I purchased the fuses and the A/C was back working and the family was cool.Thank you Hometown Hardware in Closter - kind neighborhood store. Keep them in business. I don’t think the big box stores would have shown such care for a neighbor.
