My wife and I have worked with Callahan Jewelers for years. They have been consistently skilled, serious, friendly and fair in all our dealings. Recently I gave them an old fragile gold ring that had lost one of three sapphires. They replaced it, cleaned it and charged a completely reasonable amount for the repair. It happened that a second sapphire was lost soon after. It was possible it had been loosened by the previous repair but that was in no way clear. I brought the ring back.They replaced the missing stone, strengthened the ring and shined it up again. Beautiful work. They would not accept payment of any kind. I offered to pay or share the expense which they gently and happily refused saying simply, "we stand by our work." I stand by them. Wonderful.

Solid job here for giving piercings (quick and simple for a single or second earring piercing), and clean and painless for the kids. $50 fee for piercings. Deal on jewelry of 30% off of the 14k earrings (little stud versions) that the kids found cute little ones for their first sets (after the piercing ones come out) and good advice on how to clean and you can go back in to get the piercing studs removed (they get jammed in pretty good).

Stopped in here for piercing and it was quick and simple. $50 plus if you want to buy additional earrings they had a sale on some of the new earrings at 30% off. Super friendly and really simple process. Parking in the back.

I have been going to Callahan's for quite a few years and have always had a pleasant experience. Today was the first time I did not feel that way.. I felt as though what I needed done was a bother to the jeweler. She was curt, it was quite uncomfortable.I'm not sure I will return in the future.
