Service is good but price of oil is unreasonably high. I shopped around after being a region customer for 3 years and was shocked at how high Regions prices are versus local competitors for the same oil and services. I have been spending a few thousand dollars more annually than I would have if I had chosen a different full service company. Incredibly disappointing.

Region Energy is a highly professional organization. While the price of heating oil is uncomfortably high, they’ve held the line vs other competitors and add a high level of customer service. Those two factors have earned my loyalty.

Pros: Courteous and timely service, very friendly and knowledgeable technicians.Cons: oil price is just way out of whack compared to market.I understand that they have to charge more to bake into the cost of providing full maintenance service, but here’s the problem: not only is the ceiling price (price protection) set higher than market to begin with (which again, I understand and accepted it at the time of contract signing), but this ceiling is basically the default price rather than the ceiling. In other words, I get charged the ceiling price even when the market price of oil is well below that ceiling.I tried to articulate this with the customer service rep, but unfortunately they do not put themselves in the customer’s shoes as they keep repeating that they need to charge more for the kind of full service they provide. And I keep repeating that’s part of doing business and already baked into the higher than market ceiling price. Or else, change the definition of ceiling so it actually makes sense. No luck getting this through to them.I will have to think twice before renewing my contract with them next year.

Rip off!!! They will fill up your tank and say the price per gallon is just above the locked in price. i had a delivery today at $5.029. I fill up mt diesel truck at $4.75 a gallon and that has road tax. Other oil company's are at $3.99 a gal. I understand Region will be a little more by like 30 cents or so and that they need to make money but $1.00/gal higher than their competition is ridiculous!. Now i will be running a few electric heaters, a wood stove in our basement, and buying a pellet stove for our fire place now that im locked into this company and stuck until next year. I dont recommend them!!!
