I've had a checking account with Wells Fargo for about a year. I haven't had any real problems until this past week. I received a check issued in Canada and upon trying to deposit it via mobile, was alerted that I needed to do so in person at a branch. I took it to this location and gave it to a teller. She deposited it in my account and I thought that was that, until a few days later when I looked at my account activity and noticed a $5 fee for an international check deposit. The teller apparently didn't see any need to inform me of this. To be fair, the message I got in my mobile app didn't mention this either. $5 isn't the end of the world but I don't like having fees deducted without my knowledge. Who knows what other mysterious fees may show up in my account?

The workers a very incompetent. I walked in to cash my check which has their name on it. Pay check!!!!! I'm so use to having direct deposit and for the last 2 weeks I don't. So I arrived. The teller looks clueless and begins to help me. I'm already prepared gave up my two forms of ID. 5 mins, 10mins now 20 mins goes by and she says I have to verify the check I'm like ummm the check has your account on it and it's from my employer. She takes my thumb print, couldn't find a phone to call.... then says ooh the date is for tomorrow. Now forgive me as I said I'm use to getting paid on Wednesday instead of Thursday because of the direct deposit. Didn't even notice what day of the week it was. But should she have just did that from the beginning? To top it off I'm a new customer. Why not try to convince me to open up an account. Like I said NO CLUE About customer service. I'm an Associate Director of a medical care coordination center and our #1 priority is our customers/ patients. I just don't get it.

I had a horrible experience with this bank! It took me a half hour to cash a personal check from my brother. I walked in there at 9am sharp, stood in line only to be told to go have a seat so the check can be verified. Teller was nice but i wish i knew that before standing in line for 5mins. I had to show two forms of id(ok fair) and give them a thumb print. After giving them all this they came back to me 15mins later telling me they can not cash the check from my brother because the signature did not match. As if signatures are always the same every time you sign(shaking my head). Finally i told them to call my brother and they said they tried but could not get him. Come to find out they had an old number on file. I reached out to my bro had him call the bank and reluctantly they cashed my check. It only took an half hour. Thank you Paula in the back for this ordeal(being sarcastic). I spoke with my brother after and he said he updates his information regularly at his local branch and doesnt know why this branch still has old information on had. Tsk tsk tsk!

This is one of the better Wells Fargo branches in the tristate area. Great customer service and friendly bank tellers. They helped me resolve the issues I ran into very quickly and efficiently. Been with Wells Fargo formerly known as Wachovia since 2004.
