Eddie is running an amazing secondhand and consignment store reducing clothing waste.You can bring your items to sell here, call ahead to see what they are taking - its usually seasonal. Its either 30% cash or 50% store credit- I usually do credit because I always find something to buy ?Just got a mackage jacket for a STEAL and a bag for $20 that is usually $170 full price. There is a wide range of pricepoints that make it affordable for everyone.I do have to clarify that this is not a thrift store nor does it run off of donations. “5 stars just for customer service. I wish I got the young lady’s name because she was so sweet and helpful. I do know she’s a fashion student in NY. She helped me decide on a gorgeous shirt that is not my usual go to color.4 stars for the shop itself. It’s hard to rate vintage shops since they all offer different items which may or may not fit in with your style. That being said, this is a cute curated shop with some interesting finds. I would say it is a true “vintage” shop with older items in great condition of course.3 stars for the prices. The biggest issue for me was the cost. However I wasn’t surprised since it’s located in Hoboken. My goal was not to find something amazing for cheap, it was to find something interesting which I did.I would recommend this place to anyone looking for original items at a higher price range and to anyone that enjoys vintage shops.”

“This place is a total gem! Really great selection, with what I believe are fair prices for items. I got Athleta dress pants NWT, Lilly Pulitzer sundresses and a cardigan NWT, NYDJ jeans, Theory vest, CeCe dress--just to name a few of the items I bought. The store was clean and organized. There was a large selection of women and children's items. It seemed that a lot of the customers who came in are regulars and know the owner, which was really nice to see. There are fitting rooms where you can try on the items. The shop accepts Venmo which was super convenient for me. I definitely will be returning to the store.”

I bought a pair of prescription glasses from the 50s and within about 10 minutes of owning them, they broke! “Hollywood Heros has two things going for it. 1) An amazing, incredible selection of toys, new and vintage. 2) The nicest owners possible. My 12 y.o. son is a huge Star Wars collector, and he discovered HH on Yelp about. year ago. We've gone maybe a dozen times now even though it's an hour round trip. We often find rare and impossible to get items here and if it's not on the shelves, it's probably in their basement, so just ask. We became friendly with Jordan and Val on our trips there, and Jordan has been especially gracious. He always has time to talk, answer questions, and be friendly. Even when we come to just window shop, we still have great talks. Recently my son was looking for an ARC-170 gunship, and Jordan and Val had just gotten one in that had missing parts, and they gave it to my son as a thank you for being a loyal customer. It made my son's month. The store is a block from the central shopping district, so when we go we get bagels or Korean chicken and make a day out of it, or go the few blocks to Trader Joes. I know a Trader Joes isn't a selling point for a store specifically, but as a parent of someone who loves shopping here it's nice to have a cute town that can be part of the experience.”

“I love coming to the Salvation Army because their prices are very affordable, specially in the Zara section because they usually have 60% discount in everything from the original price… the store closes at 5:00pm but the only problem is that the ladies who work in the store start closing and screaming that the store will be close in 10 minutes (4:15pm) which is very annoying. I understand that they need to be close at 5 but they shouldn’t be saying that out loud when is not the time yet.The workers there are super nice and sweet, I just wish they wouldn’t start closing the store 1 hour prior to the actual closing time.Store is a little messy but you always done treasures there!”
