Had storage for nearly 7 years. Never had an issue or any kind of problem. Zee in Clifton was very knowledgeable and courteous. Very helpful when I closed out the account. Highly recommended storage facility.

I rented 3 10x15 units for 7 months. Almost every month the price increased. The most frustrating thing at the Clifton NJ location was the time it took to repair/fix things. I believe 4-5 months have passed and the lights have not been fixed in the area of my storage unit. I'm constantly working in the dark and have complained numerous times about this problem. NO RESOLUTION. Same thing with the sign that shows the name of the lane my units are in. It was knocked down in April, taken to the office and surrendered there. Has it been replaced? Not in 7 months!!! I'm glad I'm finally out of there. I spent nearly $9K in my time there.

Zee and the team are a pleasure to interact with. I've been a tenant for a little over a year and they have always been so helpful. The facility is clean and it's super easy to unload my car and get to my locker from the loading dock, which Zee suggested. Prime Storage is lucky to have them!

There is not a way to talk to the person in the front desk. SHE IS ROTH. She don't let you talk. There is not way to speak to her, she don't let you speak. An when you try to speak, she force her self to answer. I will made this public to see if the manager do something with her. My name is Alfredo Romero my unit is 294. I will get out of there quick. Our experience was good, except for the increase in price after 2 months, and the climate-control didn't work great in the area where our unit is.

Prime Storage is the worse storage company to work with. There representatives and managers are liars. I have been in and out of the hospital for
the past 3 months, due to sickness. Granted, yes I have been late with payments, due to my illness. I called Prime Storage to advised them of my medical conditions and me returning back to work, soon as possible.
This past Saturday, 9/14 the manager at the Newark location, accused me of not taking "accountability" for my account. When in fact I'm the one who called to advised that I get paid on Friday and will pay the full balance, off.
I was informed by the manager that my stuff could be auction off on Monday, 9/16, however it was at the manager's "discretion" to hold my unit. I spoke to the manager Zee on Sunday, just to reconfirm that I could pay the outstanding balance on Friday and the unit would remain in tack. Zee stated ok that I could make the payment on Friday, 9/20.
I called Prime Storage again on Monday, 9/16 to reaffirm that the unit and none of the items in it were sold. The representative told me that, the unit has not been auction off. However, that wasn't the case. The representative Brian called me back to advised that my unit had been sold. I was livid, because I was willing to pay the full balance owed on the account. And I find it rude and unprofessional that a manager like Zee would say to a customer willing to pay the complete balance off that, they didn't want to take "accountability" for their unit.
Prime Storage, their representatives and managers have lied and said that I haven't reached out, when in fact I did to try and work things out. Prime Storage in Newark location......bad customer service. Find another storage unit company that will have a customer's best interest at heart. Remember the phone calls are recorded.

It just wasn't good - just abt from the beginning... If it wasn't for the employees (Siara/Zee: Clifton, NJ) I wouldn't have considered the place❗I was locked out of my unit at first (*when I PAID 6 months in full) b/c of a needed signature. When I went to the office the young lady said that she did see it there (but for some reason it wasn't registering)... I still say you don't lock out customers who Pay❗I wasn't sure that I'd stay after the 6 mo. but I renewed anyway, as a just-in-case factor. I went back to my old storage unit and came back to close out on 9/3/24 but I was charged for the whole month (*mind you, the 2nd was a holiday) and was told that places don't prorate when I know for a FACT that that's not true! I'm actually glad I removed my things when I did... The Mice / Rats 🐀 would've crapped all over my things/torn my things apart❕ All in all, there are other areas to go to, and if this owner wants to stay/be ahead of the competition, certain business practices must improve!!!

Storage space is the same elsewhere. My items were safe. It’s advertised that the storage is climate-control. It was climate control but hot temperatures in the back where my storage was. The hallways and the ground floor near the office were nice and cool.
I called on Aug. 1 or 2 and I spoke with Tracey who was helpful in explaining on how to close my account and I wouldn’t have to physically come in the next day and just to call. Her customer service was spot on.
I called the next day…granted a few minutes before closing but I was in meetings all day so I tried calling as soon as I left work. The person was rude and kept repeating herself that the hours are 9 to 6 and the hours are posted in the front. I understand her wanting to leave but then she shouldn’t have answered the phone. She then told me I need to be at the office to close my account before the 3rd (which I was told I didn’t have to and I would get a bill in my email) and pay the $35 for not notifying in advance but we were not in the area. She was agitated (I guess). I gave her the credit card info on the phone. The transaction went through and said I would receive an email. I still didn’t receive the email and as I was waiting on the phone to confirm receipt, she disconnected the call! I finally received the confirmation but appalled with her rudeness, unprofessionalism and lack of customer service. I rarely give negative feedback but that one person’s attitude is not a fit for “Prime” Storage or at least needs to be re-trained in her customer service skills.
