Horrible experience at Costco in Clifton NJ on February 17, 2024. Specifically went into sign up for membership services with family and the people working behind the counter at Membership Services treated us HORRIBLY. Stephanie who was helping us treated us disturbingly bad and kept making comments about us not having "common sense" due to us coming to the counter with a bill and ID to sign up instead of going online. Her next comments involved "I will not be doing membership sign up for anyone for rest of day, I will not be doing this again this is ridiculous." We had the documents needed and ready and had no issues so I don't know what was so ridiculous about it. Never again. Then the only time they care to acknowledge us is to sell us the highest membership of 120$ a year then other workers at the counter when we said "no thanks" as we were already over the horrible treatment said "nahhhh that's crazy." I would have gladly signed up for the highest membership but with the way they treated us from beginning to end we should've have walked out with no membership at all. Definitely will never be coming to this location again customer service in this place is the worst I have ever experienced.

I left Costco bc of this store. Tiny parking lot. Terrible and slow customer service. I was first in line and they didn't even talk to me. There are associates bothering me multiple on checkout line to upgrade my membership even though I'd said no thanks.

Stood in line and had the attendant take two people before me. I was clearly standing there before them, but completely overlooked. Henry was informative and polite, but I won't be returning to this pharmacy anymore.

4 checkpoints treat you like a thief.1 membership check by the entrance1 more before you proceed to checkout.And 1 to check your receipt before you leave the self checkout area.And finally one more to check your receipt before you leave the store.IS THIS NORMAL???

I had a 10:30 reservation for a tire rotation. After arriving on time, I was instructed by a worker that my car needed to be parked on the side or in the rear. It took nearly 10 minutes for a spot to open up and another 5 minutes to walk from the spot to the storefront. The worker told me I was now late for my appointment and I would have to wait "about 5 hours" for my rotation. The manager, Chris, was even less understanding and unprofessional. He acknowledged that the worker told me exactly where to park but told me essentially he was wrong and I could've parked anywhere. I won't be using Costco services any more at this location for anything tire related and do not recommend anyone else use it either. I also highly recommend avoiding this location as their management doesn't have the ability to manage a simple issue like this over a worker error.

This place has terrible customer service when I signed up. I used a deal through Groupon to get my membership and they were really bitchy about it for some reason. Don't offer deals if you do not want people using them! It is also a total madhouse. I mean carts were backed up almost to the back of the store on a Sunday. You would practically have to be on welfare for the difference in price to make sense in comparison to just going to shoprite considering all the time you are losing going through the process of just buying your groceries. Anyways, I give this place the s*** show prize for North Jersey grocery stores. BTW, Costco has a business model that actually strives to make your experience miserable. They only make money off of the entry fee. Just look up their history! They really don't want you to come to their store, so don't!

I have been a Costco member ever since Price Club days but what kind of store closes at 6PM on a Saturday? I am sorry, but as much as I love Costco, I am not gonna pay $60 a year for the privilege of shopping at a store that is so inconvenient that it closes at 6PM on a SATURDAY. Gimme a break. This place is always slammed, but for all the people the self service lines actually go fast. Also, they have a super knowledgeable sales guy in the TV section. I mean this guys really knows it all. You can find out whatever you need to know. What are all the pros and cons when comparing this tv to that tv? He knows it. What about comparing these computer monitors? He knows it. How about these sound bars? He's owned both and knows all the details. It's insane! Great store.

This Costco is near my house but I prefer to go to the one in Wayne which is bigger and has much more parking. Getting in and out of the Clifton lot is awful, one lane going in and one out that you have to share with the gas station. People block the entrance to the gas pumps which creates gridlock. People also use that narrow road to get to the mall next door which is on Rte. 3 so it's double the traffic. Truly a nightmare. There is not enough parking, especially handicap spaces which we need. The gym next door closed so Costco should buy it to add more parking and reconfigure the entrance/exit. Forget going here on weekends, and holidays are even worse. Many times we could not find a parking spot so left.....shopping shouldn't be this frustrating. If you can go when they first open in the morning great, but most can't do that.

It is a costco, just like every other one! This is our local one! To start off, parking is CRAZY!!!!!!! It is in a weird location, so even getting into the lot or getting out is confusing!!!! The lot is massive and your better off going closer to the back to find a spot, or follow someone.. They have a gas station with lines 6 cars deep lol! The price is worth it, .30+ less than everywhere else. They also have a liquor store, so stock up! The place is as clean as you can expect them to be, but no matter when you go, it is always a zoo... Ive tried going 10 am on Wednesdays, and its no better than weekends lol. They have everything you could need food wise. I have never really had any issues with finding what I was looking for. They finally brought back the samples! Its nice to snack as we walk around the store. The lines at the checkout are confusing, luckily my wife knows the ins and outs of their systems! All in all, if you need 20lbs of hamburgers lol, this is your store!
