Castle of Dreams is a perfect place to adopt a puppy for people (and hopefully this doesn't offend) that want an easy dog.All of the puppies here are the perfect age/breeds to be adopted and are all taken care of so well that they're ready to seamlessly be adopted.The building itself is optimized to the max with food,toys,cleaning supplies, cages, couches and office space all so that when you come to visit, you can tear out being with the dogs in an environment similar to a house.It's pricier for the dogs, but worth every penny imo :)

CODAR is an excellent place to volunteer at but also an excellent place to find your fur-ever best friend. My children have volunteered here and we adopted our Butterscotch there too. We fostered for months but knew she was one of our the family. They made the adoption process easy. As a foster, the admin communicated dates and times for appointments; everything went super easy. Can’t say enough great things about this organization.

Great organization to volunteer for and adopt from. Please consider adopting one of these dogs if you are in the market. They take good care of their dogs, are a no kill shelter that saves many canine lives, and they do good in the community. Good place to contribute to if you can!

This rescue is great to work with. The volunteers and fosters take great care of the animals and work hard to find them their fur-ever homes. They have opportunities for junior volunteers too!

I have been volunteering with Castle of Dreams Animal Rescue for several months now and they are amazing! The sweet pups that have been left in their care, or rescued, are always vaccinated, fixed, and microchipped prior to adoption and all potential adopters are vetted. The shelter is kept immaculate and the dogs are loved while in our care. For an all volunteer run organization they are top notch. I would recommend them to any family or friend looking to adopt, foster or volunteer.

This is an organization with a caring group of volunteers who go above and beyond to save dogs that would otherwise be euthanized or kept in crowded shelters. The fosters provide the pups with love, attention and training to get them ready for their forever homes. They have done great work saving dogs for 20 years.

I cannot express how disappointed my family is with the responsiveness and outcome of trying to adopt with Castle of Dreams Animal Rescue. After submitting an application and multiple exchanges via email for over a month, we were declined. At no moment did they pick up the phone or return our calls to have a live discussion. They advised that some internal committees had declined our application for adoption based on inconsistencies in the application. How do we resolve inconsistencies with poor communication on their part and trying to fulfill what they want from us without clearly understanding what is needed outside of the application? I've read so many good reviews and can't express in words the level of disappointment that we won't be able to take two of the furry babies home. I would not recommend this dog rescue in the slightest. I sent this final email to the "dog rescue" to express how to improve this process for others:"My husband updated me that we were declined for the doggy adoption, and I wanted to reach out and express my significant disappointment in the overall process, communication, and final decision. To improve your process, I highly recommend having live discussions and/or in-person meetings, as we could have simply filled in any gaps or "inconsistencies.” If finding the dogs a happy home is the priority, email is not the best way to determine eligibility."

Adorable puppies, BUT I went there for a meet and greet one day and felt completely judged by them and some of the things they said. The lady claimed she’d get back to me…never did. So I’d say pretty bad customer service?

I've adopted two dogs from Castle of Dreams. The first was with me for 15 years until he died last year. And now we have a new little love and are considering another. COD volunteers take great care of their charges and are very careful about fostering and adopting out. Highly recommend!
