Do not bring your dog here because you and your poor dog will end up waiting up to 8 hours to be groomed. The shop is highly disorganized. Kyla had made our pup Charlie wait for over 7 hours on two different occasions now and I will not subject him to that again. The last time she said she was very busy and was the only groomer there so Charlie had to wait. This time, we requested that we have the first appointment of the day so Charlie didn’t have to be caged for so long. It should not take that long to groom a small 22 pound dog. We arrived for our 8am appointment and the shop wasn’t even opened yet. Kyla shows up 20 minutes late and there was another customer also waiting for their 8am appointment. How is she supposed to groom two dogs at once? Disorganized. After dropping Charlie off, we ended up waiting for over 7 hours before he was finally released after 3p. There was no apology given. Did he drink any water? Was he able to go out to the bathroom? And we saw other customers leaving with their dogs who came after us! When we got our Charlie boy, we noticed he had red swollen wounds around his eyes where his hair and eye discharge had been yanked out of his face. We were horrified. She hurt our boy. It was clear that in an effort to rush the grooming, Kyla ripped out the hair and eye discharge without any concern for our pup. She did not mention it when we picked him up, probably hoping we wouldn’t notice how she hurt him. This has happened to our dog one time before, with a different grooming company so we specifically told Kyla how to clean around his eyes. We even told her that a groomer did this exact thing so please be gentle. AND THEN SHE DOES THE SAME THING TO HIM. When I called her to let her know that her services were unacceptable and inhumane she did not offer a proper apology or any money back. She lied and said the wounds were there before we brought him in. I told her I will not be bringing him back there again and hung up. She then texts my husband’s cell phone with a long message acting like she did nothing wrong, excusing her lateness, and trying to lie her way out of what she did to my dog. TOTALLY INAPPROPRIATE. If you want your dog to be in a safe, humane environment where your appointment is valued - do not come here.

Kyla is so sweet and patient… not to mentioned a talented groomer with a real awareness of your pet’s needs…No overcrowding; 1 on 1attention…Took gentle care with my 14 yr old shih tzuand gave her a darling cut!!??

this place is amazing. i had a horrible experience at a different groomer in town. i found sophisticated pooch through a woman i met at the vet. i messaged them right away and let them know what happened with my dog and my concerns. we have a pomeranian and after seeing a few poms on kyla's instagram, i fell in love with the way she cut them. we took our dog tots here for the first time today and i don't have one negative thing to say. his haircut is AMAZING and everything we wanted! kyla was so professional and knowledgeable and i will not be taking our dog anywhere else. i would highly recommend her and her staff to anyone. amazing!! i'm so glad we found her!!

I used Sophisticated Pooch for the very first time. I was so happy when I saw Patrick my Aussiedoodle. He looked so beautiful. I would recommend Sophisticated Pooch anytime.

Can begin to say how happy and please with this groomer they do such an amazing with my dog Haley she loves going there the owner is so nice very good with the dogs I had brought my dog there two days before my wedding there was not a speck of hair on my dress that how good of a job they did! Highly recommend this place

My aussiedoodle was well taken care of and looks so handsome in his cut. Grooming always makes my dog and I extremely nervous but sophisticated pooch was very understanding and made the grooming process less stressful for me and my dog. Would highly recommend!

Kyla does an absolutely fabulous job! My Marla always looks SO cute and is happy to go! I've had issues with other groomers in the past but I feel so comfortable knowing my baby is in such great hands all day! Highly recommend!

The owner wont respond to my phone calls or voicemails. Unprofessional as well as disheartening since my little one was coming here for services.

This was my dog's face after getting a grooming. Saving the photos of her bottom and under jaw area. Several severe cuts that are now scabs and no one mentioned when we picked our dog up, which is the least that should be done. Zero stars.
