Great selection of pet stuff. This store has a bit smaller so has less items than the store on Rt. 1 in Edison, but doesnt skimp on variety.

I have been using Petco’a training program for my pet and he is learning and training amazingly. Victoria has been amazing with the pups and has been giving good tips for our needs.

So I have never changed a review until now. Saturday I had my dog groomed there and they did a great job other than the fact that they cut my dogs whiskers which I didn't realize until later in the day makes them confused and anxious for several days. Being your groomers are "certified" they should know this. Thankfully a vet was able to figure it out but it cost me a trip to the vet and alot of worry on top of the $70 for the grooming. Please inform your staff there of the issues of cutting the whiskers of animals

My Husband went to Petco Saturday June 29th while I was doing some shopping with our two daughters in the same plaza. We where thinking of getting our daughter a fish for her moving up ceremony as he was walking out the store to let me know what type of fish they have he was stopped at the door by a police officer due to one of Petco's employees calling the cops stating that A black male with locs was looking at women which fit his description. The cops had to look at the store video wich they seen that is was a false accusation they Apologized to my husband but it traumatized our family as my teenage daugher and 6 years old saw thiere father being escorted out the store with a bunch of cops. We also are Petco memebers we have brought numerous times from Petco for our two dogs due to it being so convenient for our family since our daughter also goes to swiming lessons (Aquatots) in the same plaza. How do you explain to a 6 year old her dad was accused of looking at women and someone called the cops on him, that we do not want to go back in that store. A store that we've been going to for years to get our dogs essentials, food and also enjoying looking at the pets as well.

Normally I believe the grooming service is great. Always go with Melissa who is wonderful but this particular time I had booked an appointment for ANY groomer online because I needed to take my dog earlier and Melissa was not available.
I get a call the day of grooming that my groomer was not available and they were cancelling my appointment. I asked why I could not go with someone else given I had asked for ANY groomer “Zeo”, the person who called us said I was assigned a person and that person was not in so they could not take me and were not accommodating to do anything earlier.
Frankly Zeo was nasty in his tone and unaccepting of any type of accommodation. As a long standing customer of this service I am disappointed to have had this experience. I hope to see personnel training to better manage situations like this one and with a better attitude towards customers.

very nice store for anything but lizards and fish. For one, the bettas, are in small, uncleaned, torture chambers, the freshwater section is looking good, plants are unhealthy though, The SALTWATER SECTION IS PURE ANIMAL ABUSE, all the corals sold there were dead or dying, the fish seemed stressed, the anemones seemed good, for now. The lighting for the saltwater section was deadly towards the coral because it was not the correct lighting. flow did not seem suitable enough for them, hundred/expensive corals were nearly dead, signs showing of tank maturity were lacking, everything that showed "new tank" was there, in order to get corals, you need a saltwater tank 6months or older, I have put in a picture to show the tank at this petco

Took my cat here for vaccine, Dr Mohammed was friendly and kind to my pet. Vet office is closed room unlike the one in Edison, which helps pets avoid distraction from other animals in line.
