“I visited The Book Trader a few days ago. What an experience! First of all, they have every type of book imaginable. From cookbooks to sci fi, from fantasy to biographies, from adult romances to children's picture books! You could find books from the 1600s all the way until the 21st century. The Book Trader is exactly what its name says: it trades books. You can bring books, which they will give you store credit for and then you can buy books for cheaper than they would cost in a regular store. This was such a great idea, in my opinion. I traded in 2 books and bought one. Now, aside from being separated vaguely by genre and authors' works being mostly together, there is no other sorting system to this store. Books, as you can see in my pictures, are all over the place and it is very hard to walk around parts of the store. If you want a specific book...good luck! Also, make sure you have cash on you. The store only takes cash and checks.”

“Unique source for old law books, reprints of classic legal treatises, and a variety of other law-related publications. Great materials. Greg (the founder) and the staff are knowledgeable, professional, and helpful.”

“It is such a beautiful collection of books with African centric art and clothing. It's great to hear how they partner with other local businesses as well. The customer service was great, and since I came there to check out their clothes, the staff was very supportive and assisted me through the process. I first found out about them through a street fair they hosted with other vendors. And I love their variety of children books that represent the kids I work with. Overall, wonderful store.”

“This is a nice, locally owned book store. The owner is very helpful and any books that they don't have in stock can quickly be ordered for pickup. It's so nice to be able to go browse in an actual bookstore!”

“What a "Gem" of a bookstore. I was looking for a family owned and operated bookstore and what I found was a Treasure, right here in New Brunswick, NJ.Kaila was the most helpful and wonderful owner. She found exactly what I wanted (50 copies of a certain book) and she got them for me in a quick order. Then when I received them, each book had a personal "Enjoy this book" card and a bow. Fantastic! Some of my people when I gave them the book were so surprised and so pleased it made the book even more special. Kaila added that very personal touch that can't be found in the big, national bookstores.”

“Prices are high on basic goods as expected and the variety of brands per object is limited. Again, being a campus book store, this is expected. Oddly, they don't have basic necessities like milk, laundry detergent, or bleach (3rd is understandable).”

“Disclaimer: not a student but I attended a conference for my high school students on the campus. Clean and beautiful campus and very nice architectural surroundings. However, I can't rationalize the price tag of this school and would suggest looking at state schools to stretch those academic dollars.”

“The Beginning. The first Indigo location opened in Burlington Ontario in 1997, created with the desire to bring a unique cultural destination to the Canadian retail marketplace. Indigo Books & Music Inc. ("Indigo"), as it exists today, was created in August 2001 upon the merger with Chapters Inc.You can enjoy flipping through the books and relax before checking out your items. They also have a section for kids, and sell bath-wear stuff, kitchenware, stationeries, etc. It's become my favorite coffee table bookstore in New Jersey. The displays are lovely and the children's section is a wonderland.”

“Not only will they order books they don't have in stock, they'll wrap them in much prettier paper than Amazon. Support independent bookstores and small businesses by shopping local!”

“The new Union store in the Union Plaza Shopping Center is half the size of their previous store in Springfield. I love the little niches they built, it feels so cozy.”

“Certain workers are kinda rude, but most were pretty nice. Edit It's nice to see a reply. I've added a star. The sitaution was that it was my first time in the bookstore and I walked up to the register to ask where the line started. Before I even got my first scentence out I way yelled at for cutting the line, which was Ironic. The worker said this loud enough to try to shame me I guess? As a suggestion, it would be nice if the line was down the center of the store, which seems to be the more intuitive setup. Better yet, it could be parrallel to the front. Regaurdless, thankyou.”

“Words is an example of what I want in a small indie bookstore. They have a great selection and wide range of books for the size of their location, and a very well curated collection. They don't try to have every book available, and as a result you can actually discover interesting titles that you didn't know about before.”

“Even with Amazon I always like to visit Barnes & Noble and peruse books. The feel and smell/aroma of books is unbeatable. There is a coffee shop inside if you need a caffeine shot. You can also find a lot of Rutgers University swag. This is the place to go to for textbooks and stuff also.”

“i'm in the C terminal waiting for my flight. the book store is, pardon the cliche, the eye of calm in the storm. The books are a stunning collection - awesomely creepy kids books to enthrall the pre-teen crowd, graphic novels, books about POC, books by POC, international authors, and something for every reader. Books in spanish -- from fiction to true crime-- gorgeous travelogues. Strong POC focused collection. An inspirational reading section Grandmother B would love -- Granmere V would go for the crosswords. My tastes are eclectic and well matched by this lively oasis, but even my dad (conservative and non-fiction reader) would appreciate the multiple standing shelves of biography, history, and business. If they had coffee, I'd spend my entire layover here. Oh, wait, let me hit the espresso stand around the corner and come back...”

“Overall the library manager and the assistant manager are great workers, very respectable, knowledgeable and hard-working. But the student body needs to be more sympathetic when it comes to technical system glitches/errors and not lose their patience with the bookstore workers for these inconveniences. Treat these great workers with respect and politeness and they will be able to provide you with great customer service.”

“I had an easy time here. As soon as I walked in a team member guided me in the right direction. The book info desk was decent I asked for all the books on my course list and for some reason they kept asking if I would buy everything even after I already said I would. But no big deal. The supply section also had everything I needed to start my semester. The cashier was also great and helpful. Last but not least the 50 percent off holiday books in the new year was great too!”
