Quite the small shop LOADED with amazing stuff. One of their specialties is home fragrances. They have a system of containers that you can fill with different oils to spruce up the scent in your home. There are TONS of different fragrances to choose from in addition to all of the other lovely items for the interior of one's home.

Great shop with lovely finds! I discovered Whistling Elk when looking for a Paint Couture retailer, and am a big fan of this shop. The shop owner, Barbara, gives good advice for projects. Also, this is a wonderful shop for unique gifts, and special finds.

Such an amazing hidden gem in Chester . The owner is the nicest lady. She was such a help when I was picking out a gift for my fiancé . Her gifts are all around beautiful and very well priced. She makes you feel super comfortable and doesn’t rush you into buying something . This store is one of the best in Morris County or even north jersey to get gifts from anywhere from soaps - Christmas decorations . From now on I am referring my friends and family to the whistling elk! Great store !!..... PS. I won’t say anything but it’s a must to check out her blankets !!

My husband and i have been to The Whistling Elk several times, we always make sure to stop in while we're visiting Chester. They have lovely merchandise and personally i've found the owner to be gracious and hospitable. I couldn't help but notice the other review and decided to add my two cents since it's the polar opposite of the experiences we have while visiting.

Owner is extremely rude. My friend took a picture of a book in the store that she was planning on buying. The owner came running over, yelled at her and said she was rude for taking a picture. My friend tried to apologize and she wouldn't let her. Then my friend (who was upset because she was shocked at how she was treated) said she won't be buying anything in her store and the owner said “yeah right like you would buy anything anyway†and chased her out of the store. This person does not know how to run a business or treat customers. Stay away from this store. I'm disgusted anyone would treat customers this way.
