Are you kidding? Slum lord of small animals! Stick to fish! Literally, like visiting a hoarders house! You don't have nearly the staff to upkeep this many creatures! The small animal area is just gross! Junk everywhere!I drove here in hopes of a ferret. Wouldn't buy from you if you gave them away!Don't take my word, just stop in. Should be shut down or at least cut your inventory 70% Pure Yuk. Going to Petco. Never once saw that place gross like this one.I wish you the best, but please, listen to the reviews!!! Clean up your act. Just standing behind counter instead of helping clean up? Obviously, you don't care!

Stopped in here for the first time. I was APPALLED by the conditions these animals were kept in. How could people that love animals, keep them in such poor conditions? It was sickening. I’m SHOCKED that this place has 4 stars. It should have zero. I don’t know how they pass any type of inspection. Do not shop here if you care about animals.

Salt water stuff is scares. He wanted 100 bucks for a green star polyp colony. If you know salt water you know that’s not right. He had one decent coral I tried to buy. It was a montipora. He told me it wasn’t for sale. Instead he wanted to cut it up and frag it. He doesn’t have a frag tank. Infact the tank he has labeled frags says “help me” this guy is a joke. Has had copper problems in his tank. “Own admission” yet still had a wall of SW fish for sale. Don’t bother here go to reefco nj. Same prices.. way cleaner tanks

I am absolutely mortified after going to this store this week. The animals are kept in HORRIFIC inhumane conditions and living in filth. I fail to understand how this business is supported by ANYONE and that people are not reporting it to the state department of consumer affairs because it is not legal to keep animals in such poor conditions. Please don’t be a bystander and report this place so these poor animals are not suffering and dying from negligence. I am attaching photos which show mice shoved into small dirty boxes on top of each other with low water supply. The aquariums look as if they have not been cleaned in 10 years. There was one with a literal swamp in it. There is mold everywhere and the store smells horrible. The owner should retire if he is too lazy to take care of the store or hire staff that does. He does not care about animals at all, nor his store and should face legal repercussions for animal abuse. The store looks like a hoarding situation. I have never seen anything like this in my whole life and it’s incomprehensible that in this day and age and in a nice town like Chester nothing has been done about this business. Please give these poor animals a voice they are suffering.

I recently went in to browse and possibly purchase feeders, unfortunately I stumbled upon a dead frog. Staff was goofing off in the back so I didn't bother getting their attention. I left immediately, saddened and disgusted by the neglect.

This little shop is great! The owner is really nice and helpful. Truly cares about his customers and will help them in any way he can. Including carrying out items that are too heavy for some.

SICK RATS. I got 2 adorable baby rats from here recently. Already at the store I noticed they had red crust on the nose but at the store I did not think much of it as that can sometimes happen when they are stressed or because the cage needed to cleaned. However upon taking them home I noticed it was more severe & definitely from an upper respiratory infection and then noticed sores on both rats. They also appeared to have mites upon taking them home as well. I did call the store, the lady whom I spoke with would not take accountability for the rats being sick at the store. She was insisting I bring them in for her to check/“diagnose” even though she is not a vet. I am concerned as I have never in all my years as a rat mom seen sores on rats. Nor has my vet seen it. I’m concerned for my new pets health as well as my own since I’m not even sure what they have. My vet even had to consult with another exotic vet, as she was not sure what was causing the sores.

Very disorganized place with lots of animals in small cages.I felt terrible visiting, rabbits were in a little place 4 of them. The birds there were like 10 in a little cage.Almost all fish tanks were dirty with green water or stuff floating in them. All kinds of things on the floors and suspicious tank with green water in it right in the middle of the floor.I'm my opinion de conditions were those animals are kept are not humane at all.?
