Another wonderful mortgage process with Joe Colella and his great team. This is our second mortgage with Joe at Garden State and just like the first one, the application process was stress-free and easy to complete. I regret choosing Ryan Cockery as my loan broker. He failed to deliver on several promises and did not communicate important loan details, which left me with a significantly higher interest rate at the last minute. He also assured me that I would receive loan credit, but I ended up with none. If you decide to work with him, make sure every promise is documented in writing, as verbal assurances did not hold up in my experience.

I don't write Google reviews often, but Michael Colella from Garden State Home Loans went above and beyond helping me and my wife secure our first home. His patience, knowledge, attention-to-detail, and ability/willingness to explain mortgage-related intricacies are a rarity in the field. You get the sense that he's giving you everything as straight as possible. We compared a few different lenders and Garden State was frankly the obvious choice!

Working with Joe Colella at Garden State Loans was awesome. From when I made my first call to gather into, through the approval process, all the way until closing, Joe always made himself available. He worked hand in hand with our realtor and attorney to sort out all issues on a quick timeline. These guys are the real deal and I highly recommend.

When I was shopping around for my dream home mortgage loan, it was the first impression that was the decisive factor for choosing Garden State. The first communication matters when it is frank, objective, and responsive. They were great but the only reason I don’t give them a 5 star is because I was told they would refund me for the appraisal cost as a perk for doing the mortgage thru them and of course after the closing they claim they never said that so with that I
was not happy at all

I mainly worked with Connor, and I can honestly say that without him, I would have never been able to make my dream of buying a house come true.
