Amazing work by Harry and team to restore my 2008 Lexus. Car was pristine but orig engine overheated and destroyed heads. Harry found a certified used Lexus built engine, with 30k less miles, transplanted in just a few days and made intelligent replacements to items like water pump to avoid future headaches and costly repais. He was professional and a.pleasure to.deal.with during this unexpected high stress repair. Pricing was very fair and car is back like new. This is a very well run business.

Harry, the owner, is a saint. I brought my truck to Engine Exchange after I got stuck in Summit and he was honest and up front about everything the whole way. Harry even helped me figure out what to do next and let me leave my car at the shop till I could decide what to do with it. Couldn’t ask for more out of a mechanic in a world full of crooks and scammers. Thanks Engine Exchange!

The owner, Harry Spaven is a wonderful person. He is honest and honest about the possibilities. He won't just say I can fix it, he worked with me in giving me certain expectations with my car which is getting to about 160,000 miles. He said if its a compression loss then its not worth the cost to fix it since the car would be worth less than the repair. But he worked with me on the price to have it checked out.

I looked for a shop that I could trust to replace the engine on my 2011 Cadillac SRX after reading Harry's reviews I decided to go with The Engine Exchange! Was the best choice i could have possibly made, i left Harry a deposit for my certified used refurbished Gm engine that has a year unlimited miles and labor warranty, he told me it would be in next week well as Harry promised Harry delivered and my car was ready two days later.... it's been about 3 days since and my car runs better then ever and I'll say it was the best $4500.00 i ever spent and really don't think I'll be needing that warranty! THIS IS THE ONE AND ONLY PLACE I WOULD TRUST TO REPLACE AN ENGINE IN NJ WITHOUT GOING TO A DEALER AND GETTING OVER CHARGED! Best experience I've had with an auto mechanic in over 30 years of driving!

At minimum, please consult Engine Exchange when facing seemingly difficult or impossible engine problems. I find them to be very reasonable, consultative, and quite diligent in identifying root cause of the problems. My 1995 Honda Civic had died 5 years ago per one mechanic, due to bad gasket. I took it to Engine Exchange, and for a reasonable price, I got 5 more years out of it. I have my reasons as to why am I still interested in keeping this car, but the gasket is giving problems again, and for sure, I will take it to Engine Exchange before making further decisions.

Let me start by saying, " I am a female". Many times I've been over quoted and told that things "urgently" needed to be fixed. The devastation that would prevail, could be catastrophic! What those mechanics didn't know was that I'm not d*** when it comes to cars. I know a thing or two. And these guys at The Engine Exchange are smart guys! They never once told me I needed to fix something unnecessary. When I brought my car to them with an other mechanic's recommendations, they told me the naked truth about what "really needs to be fixed". I've never had a price jacked up for being an unknowing girl. They are honest, reliable, and very trustworthy. I know that when I get work done here, Harry and Jenfer are going to get it done right and fast!! I'm so happy that a friend recommended them to me because I wouldn't trust anyone else's work or opinions more than theirs! Thanks guys!!
