I have close to few hundreds stuck at this Y and they don't want to give me back MY MONEY even though they had already kept the non-refundable swim team fee. What they have given me back is credit points which I can't use because I don't go to this Y any more. This is just a money sucking place. Keep away from this location if you can and have other options.

This YMCA is awesome. It’s a beautiful Y inside it’s very big . It has a hot tub and the pool is very big. It’s very clean as well. I like the track above the basketball court as well.

Nice facility however some of the front desk staff are somewhat dismissive and rude, both over the phone and in person.

It’s the best of Y’s, and it’s the worst of Y’sThe Great Stuff:1. The customer-facing staff is amazing. They are probably the only reason many people stay.2. The facilities are top-notch. Everything is clean, well-maintained, and updated.3. The courses are great, and the teaching staff is knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The Not-So-Great Stuff:1. One other reviewer already mentioned the mystery busses that show up every so often and randomly disgorge mobs of teenage boys at the front door (who in turn fill the fitness room beyond capacity). I once submitted a proposal that the members simply be alerted the day before this happens so that they can plan; I never received an acknowledgement.2. The facility hosts swim meets, and when that happens you can forget about finding a place to park. I have no idea why they don’t direct swim meet vehicles to park in one of the nearby YMCA lots for the day. If you do show up on a swim meet day, be prepared to make a slow Odyssean drive through the various areas of the parking lot before realizing that you won’t be working out that day.3. I don’t like that they charge extra for some classes. This place isn’t cheap -- you can look up the membership prices on the website. It strikes me as a little mean to charge retirees who just want to learn how to play pickleball an extra $100.

It is a great facility. I worked out here back in the 90’s and recently moved back to the area. I really like all the updates and I think they offer a lot for the price.

Not sure why people post issues about the staff and kids after school. The staff was very helpful giving me the tour and after a month joining are very pleasant. For the kids hanging out, I use to to be one of them hanging around at the old location near the court house acting like a kid! The improvements they made are awesome.I visited other gyms before joining and felt out of place at my age. But the YMCA fit my needs.

Hi, I came here to update my previous review. And again, another racist experience from your facility. Not sure who’s working today June 19, 2023, but whoever is sitting at the podium, respect everybody no matter what color their skin is. I know in this area you might not see Black people all the time, but we do frequent this facility a lot. you should be ashamed of yourself to pick and choose who you allow in to the building.. especially when you have no prior knowledge to who is walking inside. You would think in the Morristown area you would get more “quality” people working at this facility. My partner and I have ran into an issue EVERY TIME we come to this specific location. We are members of the Piscataway YMCA and have been a guest at greater Morristown before. All of a sudden they refuse to let us in unless we’re with that specific guest. I spoke to a woman who stated we signed paperwork that we never did. This place is not BIPOC FRIENDLY. I recommended trying to find other locations in the Morris County area.

Dishonest business. About $400 we paid for kids classes that cancelled due to pandemic shut down are gone. They said they have new system and won’t honor their own credit voucher, and lie about everything. Manager keep saying they lost money during pandemic, but scam families that also had a hard time during pandemic is not the way. If you want sign up your children to any classes at Morristown YMCA, think twice.

Staff are rude, facility operates as an after care facility without any adult supervision of youth in weight room making it impossible for adult members to utilize the facility in an effective and functional manner. Equipment is in disrepair partial due to inappropriate use by undersupervised youth. The pool hours are great and is the only part of facility that is clean.

The facilities are very good. But if you're looking to work out in the afternoon during the week and you are over 16, forget it. The gym was a great cross section of the community. Recently it has become a playground. I know I sound like an old codger. I guess I am. And I'm off to find another gym. Too bad. Management has lost control.

only thing i will say about this place that is crazy to me is why do i have to be 24 to use the women’s locker room. I’m 23 and i still have to go into the little girls locker room. Thats weird!!! Who came up with that??? I am a grown woman and there is only one bathroom in there and it is always soaking wet bc its right by the pool. At the very least make it 21+ or something. Anyways i love the classes and the instructors but i do wish there were more options that took place before/after the work day. I would love to go to one of those barre toning classes but they're at 11am on a tuesday are there people that can actually go to that?
