I can only write a glowing review of the Victorian motel!! Our first stay there but definitely not our last! Already booked another visit. The office staff including Lindsay, Bobby and Tory were so welcoming. Melissa, the housekeeper was so friendly. We enjoyed talking with her. The location is perfect, our room was beautiful. Wish I could give it more than 5 stars!!!! Thanks to everyone mentioned for making our visit so enjoyable!!!

I just returned from the most amazing weekend in Cape May due in large part to our stay at the Victorian Motel! Our accommodations were spacious and super clean and the customer service was OUTSTANDING! We were greeted by management each day with a Good Morning, big smiles and “is there anything you need today?” The location was centrally located which allowed us to park and walk to basically anywhere we needed to go. Our favorite parts of the motel included the refreshing pool and the 2nd floor deck- I’m just sorry we are missing the Wednesday bingo at the pool. I’m already looking at dates to come back in the fall!

This past week me and my family took our yearly vacation to cape may and stayed at the Victorian motel. This was our 7 th year there.vacation started badly for us a family member was in hospital we were late getting there. As soon as we pulled in the manager ran over to lot yelling you can’t park there. When we said staying there she backed off. She was rude and condescending to people in pool area. Took a ball away from two children for splashing. Our Granddaughter wanted to meet us for the day. She said she could not step on property. She was very rude to my daughter. Finally said she could come but do not tell anyone. We were watched all day. She saw her in my daughters room and was annoyed. She also told my daughter to close her door she was goi g to brake the air conditioner. It felt like a prison I went to speak to her she said your daughter sent the big guns in. I loved it there. She should in no way manage in a hospitality industry. Not going back. But sad she ruined a vacation for us. Horrible women

After reading the reviews from other guests, we were concerned about what type of service we would receive. Our experience was totally opposite what others recently mentioned. My dad has a physical disability and he fell on the sidewalk when we first arrived. (due to no fault of the hotel or sidewalk) The two women were beyond helpful, checking in on us, asking about my dad. They went above and beyond. I thought the pool pass policies were understandable to keep anyone out that wasn't staying there. I do wish the pool was open past 7:00, but even so, our stay was amazing. The location is great too.Walkability: Walking distance to the beach, mall, lots of restaurants

If I could give this motel a negative I would. Both the general manager and her assistant have no business being in the service industry. They are rude and dismissive and made our family vacation feel more like a prison stay. Will NEVER stay there again.Walkability: Perfect location next to the Washington Street Mall.

Our family has stayed at the Victorian for thirty-two years. Multiple families and generations. We have not stayed there since management has transitioned. Our family stayed there this past week and our experience was very disappointing. The two women who now run the establishment are horrible! They are rude, disrespectful, zero customer service skills and only manage the property like it's a prison. From their signs all over the place what you can and cannot do to their absolutely ridiculous pool pass policies. They walk around looking to yell at you about some minor infraction to watching you like a hawk making your stay totally uncomfortable. Our long-anticipated vacation with my family became a horrible experience. While you have many good reviews, my review is accurate with the way we felt during our entire stay. We will NEVER stay at your property again and I really hope people carefully consider their options in Cape May before booking at the Victorian Motel. The property owner should FIRE both you ladies and replace you with a management TEAM that cares about their guests.

Stopped in to ask about room rates The woman at the desk was rude And her dog was barking we had our little dog with us and she told us that the hotel was not a dog friendly hotel and we would not be welcome stay there even if we had papers because she said our dog wasn't a support dog if so we would not be holding it she is an emotional support dog she is only 9 pounds and that big dog was barking i suggests that she look up the law its Discrimination Against people with disabilities I will be booking a room And if we are turned away at check-in You will be sued for discrimination I suggest you teach your staff About these laws

This motel has a great location. That's where most of the good stops. It the manager has a real edge to her. Not very nice and the she needs to be trained in some basic hospitality practices. The Manager need to be changed, she are not happy and need a break. It's not what do you think of when you think of the quaint, beautiful historic town of Cape May. As long as that manager is there I cannot recommend this motel. She likes to stand on the corner near congress hall and smoke!

Woman who runs it is a complete nut. Absolutely insane didn’t feel comfortable staying there through the night. Might as well stay at congress hall because she is worth the budget money.

I travel all over the country for work and our room may have been one of the cleanest rooms that I ever checked into. The hotel is in a perfect location... right off the mall across from Congress Hall (which we frequently hang out at when in Cape May) and everything in walking distance. If you stay in the summer, its a short walk to the beach. Free parking, and unless you do something outside of town, no need to move the car at all.We were there over Thanksgiving weekend so I have nothing on the pool or outside accommodations. We stayed in a 2 bed double room with a mini-fridge. The rooms are fairly basic and the beds were very comfortable. For our purposes it was perfect... When you are in Cape May, at any time of the year, you're not going to hang out that much in your room. When you are there to sleep, shower, change, etc., it works out well.I saw comments on questionable internet service, which we did not experience, but the hotel was not full at all so our stay was not a fair test worth commenting on. A lot of people, myself included, will work a little bit if you are away during the week, so a good connection would be important, and one that I would be willing to pay a reasonable fee as an upgraded service to tap into during a stay.We will definitely stay here again. We originally booked an Airbnb close by, but by the time you add up all the fees, the value was not there compared to staying here.
