This is our favorite place to stay in Cape May. The location is excellent, views from the rooms are beautiful, and staff is very helpful. I would not consider staying anywhere else!

Great rooms either in the motel or the Victorian rooms. Beautiful pool also.

Classic, quiet, pleasant beach motel in an amazing location - across from the beach and 10 min walk to the main shopping/restaurant area. Rooms were clean, parking was easy and the pool was lovely. Plan to arrive by 8 pm as the office closes then.

I have never stayed at any other place where everyone is so accommodating. My husband and I go there every year and we won’t stay anywhere else. We absolutely love this place and everyone there!

Completely disgusted. Tropical Storm Ophelia is heading right towards the East Coast. Cape May has a severe weather alert status for damaging winds and flooding and the Stockton Inn will not let us reschedule or refund our money!! Shame on them for putting money above the safety of their guests!! Will never try to stay here again!

Enjoyed a 3 night stay this past weekend. This was our 2nd time staying here and will become a yearly trip for my husband and I. The rooms and grounds are spotless! Staff is friendly. Location is perfect - beach right across the street. Cannot say enough good things about this place.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!! Aside from the location it is awful. Unwelcoming and unfriendly. They have cameras everywhere. You cannot have family or friend step foot on the property. My wife and I stayed for a week. My son and his friends stayed at another property and would meet us to go to the beach. A parking spot was included in the costs. My son would take my truck to go to his place of stay and then return the next day to meet up with us. Apparently, this was seen as additonal services and we were charged an additional $320.00 without consent because my son would park my truck in a spot that was included in my rent. We were treated with hostility from the beginning and made to feel very uncomfortable. The lady at the front desk is nasty and unwelcoming. When my son would stop by to meet us to go to the beach were told he was not allowed on the property, and we would need to meet him at the beach. He was simply meeting us to help carry stuff to the beach. It is very creepy, and they watch your every move. I am a physical therapist and own my own practice for 34 years. This is not how people should be treated and is a terrible representation of Cape May. Trust me when I say do not stay here!!!!!!

Let me start off by saying my family loves Cape May! We have stayed at hotels and rented houses depending on who can vacation when we can. This year my son and friends rented a house. My husband and I decided to stay close to the beach and chose Stockton Manor. What a huge mistake. First off , after driving 6 hours there was not s happy greeting or welcome. I was met with only one person allowed in the office. Meanwhile 2 ladies exited when I entered. It was immediate credit card and license plate. No mention of have a good stay. Anyhow, I should have known it was only going to get worse. My son and girlfriend stopped to see us, pick up a laptop from us, and sig on the porch a minute. My husband was told that my son could not be on the property due to liability? Anyhow, my son came up to our room to get a laptop and key and immediately the room phone rang and the owner ( lady with blonde hair) asked when my son was leaving. We are health professionals and in our sixties trying to relax. This woman was far from nice, welcoming, or hospitable. When talking to another guest, she referred to this owner as a b**ch and also said she has been like that for 30 years! When asked why does she return and she replied because of the porch rockers. Anyhow, my so 's girlfriend asked to use the bathroom quick and again guess what happened? The room phone rang... asking if we had someone there. We said yes that she would be leaving. I don't need a babysitter on vacation. This owner is very nasty and I would definitely not recommend this establishment if you are trying to relax. We paid over $2000 for the week and if my son who is 26 years old wants to stop and say hello I should not have to worry about being yelled at. So disappointing.. run from this place. The Stockton manor in Cape May NJ does not represent this quaint and family friendly town. This owner needs to sell and get out of this business.

Rude staff and rooms were small and dated.

What a great location! I was brought in town to do an event and my children came with me. The only issue I had was that when we came back from a walk about town, I came back to our room to find the door wide open and the hskp having conversation with guests in another room. I said I was not aware they came into rooms when guests were staying over but not inside. I checked in late the night before and did not yet need anything. The house keeper didn't appear to speak English and did not seem to understand we did not need anything. They came in anyway checked the phone. I got some extra coffee. I kind of felt like we were being monitored. As a mom traveling alone with her children, having my room opened when I came back was very disconcerting. Being able to communicate effectively with staff is very important in hospitality. The location made up the the misgivings. Best food and shops right across the street!

By far this is the worst place I've ever stayed. It started with the nasty blond woman who checked us in. Apparently everyone who stays at this dump is suspected of throwing wild parties in their rooms, even if you're a couple in your 50s, so you're read the riot act about having extra people in your room upon check in. I felt like I was being admitted into a boarding school for bad children and needed to hear "the rules". As I type this I'm awake and almost in tears in the middle of the night because the pillows are so uncomfortable, old, and cheap that my neck and shoulders are in agony. If I could get a refund for my last night I'd pack up my car and go home now. Do not stay here. This is not my first trip to Cape May but it is the first and last time I'll ever stay here.
