The tour at the Physick Estate was good. There is a lot of interesting things that went on there and the house was rebuilt after its decline in the 70's. The tour was on a Saturday. A beautiful fall afternoon. I like how they built the chimneys upside down.

Went for the beer fest. It was a lot of fun. The pours they sold we're a little on the small side but I get it, trying to keep people from getting blasted at the event

What a charming estate. I cannot overstate the effort people make to keep it up. Highly recommend a tour, it is a great representation of Victorian life style and architecture. The guides are friendly and trying to make experience almost intimate.

Interesting.
I would’ve preferred more information on the architecture and architect then on the individuals who lived in the house. The architect, Frank Furness, is known for his creative exteriors and attention to details. The owners of the house were not particularly known for anything other than owning the house.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the fantastic restaurant in back of this estate in Cape May, NJ, and I can't wait to share my positive experience. The filet mignon was an absolute standout, cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. But it didn't stop there - every dish I had the opportunity to taste was equally outstanding. From the appetizers to the desserts, the attention to detail and quality of the ingredients really shone through. The atmosphere was delightful, the service was impeccable, and the overall dining experience was truly memorable. I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough. If you're in Cape May, NJ, be sure to make a reservation and treat yourself to an unforgettable culinary experience.

Judy gave a us a thorough tour of the first and second floors (the third floor is closed for fire safety reasons). Her encyclopedic knowledge of Victorian architecture and luxuries mixed in with her charming humor made for a pleasurable touring experience. She talks a little quietly so make sure to stay close to her, and tours seem to fill up quickly so I would recommend getting tickets in advance.

We had such a fun time today! We learned so much about American history through the eyes and life of this family! It was a blast into the past! Perfect especially for a rainy day in cape may! Great tour!

The tour guide seemed more knowledgeable about architechture of the building. She did not encourage any questions and rushed the group from one room to the other. She did not allow enough time to even take proper pictures. The estate was good though. The tour could have been better.

It was such a joy to be able to sit in an open trolley and be able to see so many beautiful houses and cottages that are so wonderfully maintained in Cape May. The extended trolley to the Emlen Physick estate was a wonderful surprise. The architecture of the house was done inside and out by Frank Furness having ties and influences to Frank Lloyd Wright. An added feature was how the manor was "saved" by determined Cape May citizens from being torn down. I was extremely impressed by the owner, Dr. Physick himself how he created such a rich and great legacy. He was ahead of his time and a true animal lover as seen through photographs from the tour. All in the tour group are wonderful, knowledgeable and helpful. This is a Cape May must see. And please donate for they had to bring the house back to life and are still working on it.

Did the Strange Victorian Obsessions tour. Fun, learned some interesting things and the guide was wonderful.Made sure to get there early as it's noted to not be any later than 15 minutes prior to the start of the tour. Wasn't sure where to park and parked on the street. Asked the lady in the next building where to go and she instructed me where to wait. Waiting on a dimly lit porch and the time closing in on 8pm, couldn't help but feel unsure of things. The guide from a trolley tour did show up with others, on time for the 8pm tour. Thirty minute tour for total of $23, plus the concern about getting their early enough when that ended up not be a factor are the two reasons for giving a good 4 rating.

Had a wonderful tour, with friends, after Cape May Trolly Ride, in the beautiful Emlyn Physick Mansion. Our tour guide, Joyce was terrific; very informative & funny, and really made our tour Extra Special! She's been doing them for years and as some pics from 2 years prior show, she dressed in period clothes. Our Hot Summer made current clothes more appropriate, but nothing was lost! Loved the tour and would definitely recommend it for Adults. Think young kids might not appreciate, but, who knows! ????
