One of the nicest clothing stores in downtown Cape May, the Cotton Company offers a wide variety of beach clothes and apparel. I searched the entire street for a nice rain jacket on a stormy day and found a nice Columbia rain jacket here. Customer service was fantastic as well.

I was on vacation with my family when I went to look at some of the sale items, but that was cut short because the entire time I was in the store, the one employee literally stalked me thinking I was stealing (I had a backpack on and yoga pants so not sure where she thought I would’ve hid anything lol) but anyway, as I stood looking at jewelry, I turned around after about a minute or so to find the same woman standing directly behind me just WATCHING me and I actually jumped when I turned around because it was so incredibly bizarre to find that she had been breathing down my neck. I said “can I help you?” And she just stared at me and then said “do you need help?” And I said no you just made me uncomfortable I’m going to leave now….. SUPER weird behavior on their part lol I felt like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman when she couldn’t buy the dress she liked

Great store overall, but customer service is not good. Simply I asked for a pen to join a raffle and got a major amount of attitude and rudeness thrown at me! Then she proceeds to basically throw the pen at me. So sad that this awesome store with great clothes gave me this experience. ☹️

We've been making a point of stopping in this shop every time we are in Cape May. This store carries quite the collection of quality and varied items. We have made numerous purchases of articles of clothing and shoes over the years that have become personal favorites. When we popped in this year Jodi provided exceptional assistance and we (my mother and I) ended up walking out with some new items we are eager to wear once we return back home--including an extremely flattering sundress and lovely tank top that can be worn as is or layered for work. Jodi, you are the best and thank you for your help in finding beautiful additions to each of our wardrobes!

I love going to Cotton Company when I stay in Cape May. The employees have great customer service skills. The quality of the clothing is great. I recently bought a pink Vineyard Vines half zip there.

I don't normally leave reviews for shops but I had to for this one. I love the brand selection for clothing here! I can't say enough nice things about the staff. I was able to bring my stroller in and more than 1 employee actually offered to help me get it out of the store down the steps. Which was very kind because some stores are understandably not stroller friendly. Thank you!

Nice store, bad service. My wife and I went there 2 days in a row. We looked for our size and tried on pieces. Nobody asked if they could help - the two gentlemen showed arrogance as if they didn't need to sell... then just shop in another shop.

Very nice store, friendly staff, good selection of products. We shopped there a number of times during our visit.We too noticed the staff watching. They watch everyone. It's the beach,it's what you have to do. Shoplifting is a big problem if you're not diligent.

Good products, rude customer service. My family was followed around the store the entire time as if we were going to steal something, what a joke. Also, every product can be found online for much cheaper, but the clothing here is good.
