It's a decent place but their service could be better. They definitely need more bar tenders everywhere. You have to wait a long time.just to get a drink, whether in the bar or outside near the pool.

6th year down , 10th trip overall, 15th visit and still amazing! We have been coming here since my daughter was 1 years old! She is now 7, my son is 3 and the week after the 4th of July has been our time! This year we were lucky enough to get the 2 queen bed balcony room, already sold out for 2025 the week we come so womp womp , but we will be back for sure. The memories and the love for this place grows. The ONLY reason I dropped it to 4 stars this year is because unfortunately even with the hawks every other day the seagulls were insane and my daughter unfortunately on 7/10 was “mauled” by about 15 seagulls to the point where other guests and pool staff had to intervene to help them. Luckily she was okay, they hit her face and arm , some bruising but she is okay but it was awesome for her to hear from other guests today and yesterday about how brave she was for what she dealt with. My wife and I were very nervous because she stated to us she didn’t want to go back to the pool but she was a trooper and went back today! I was slightly disappointed that management did not reach out to us (pool staff was great and told us they would let management know about the situation and also said they would use our room number to get the name to them, room 220) but I guess it is what it is, other than that business as usual, staff is great, room was spotless, beach and pool service impeccable, of course will be back next year but was a little upset that no one reached out to us about what happened to our 7 year old , who truly adores this place!

The perfect stay! The hotel was outstanding. The only thing better than the look and feel of the hotel was the service from the hotel staff! Everyone we encountered was fantastic. The location was outstanding for beach access and to shops and eateries. Highly recommend for an enjoyable stay on Cape May.

This is a must not miss location in Cape May to walk around the grounds or shops, grab a drink in the bar, or to stay! The beach is beautiful and the staff is phenomenal. The Blue Pig is a great choice for dinner or dining. Great location, beautiful pool and phenomenal location.

What can you say about a place this beautiful with this much rich history in such a historic town? Kings and queens visit but you're invited too. It's a must see.
Nearby activities: Everything from the great restaurants to Washington Street and the most beautiful beaches you could hope for.
Walkability: Park your car on day one and never go back until you leave or take it and explore. The surrounding community is beautiful and expansive. We're about 7 miles away. We come every weekend and still find new things.
Noteworthy details: Rich history and attention to details are the reason to visit congress hall. You will be blown away that such a thing even exists. I sit and stare at it trying to imagine what it must have been like during it's construction. Each brick laid out by hand and each piece of wood cut to perfection using the tools available at the time. I can't decide if I want to sit on the lawn and look at the ocean or turn my seat around and stare at the building.

Half the rooms you book state "Potential for noise" and when you book one that doesn't say that, you will still have to deal with hearing rockbands or DJ's from their basement bar until 1am. You will hear bass and thumping from 9:30pm to 1:00am, Wednesday to Saturday. Can you imagine a HOTEL making that much noise? We had two more nights and couldn't wait to leave. Hotel tried giving us another room but we needed 2 beds and room was small and claustrophobic with broken seals on the windows so the "ocean view" really isn't any good. Same with the one set of windows in the "town view", the seals were broken so the windows were all cloudy. Upon arriving,my bed was lopsided so spent the first morning all sore from the uneven bed. Really haven't had a restful time here which is a #1 priority on vacation. We really messed up by giving Congress Hall another try.

Second time coming to CHH and it always amazes us! Front desk is awesome, but the pool service is phenomenal. Max is the best and goes out of his way to help and make our experience great everyday. He is such a bright soul! We love it here
