Very nice options here. It's convenient, and I would shop here all the time if the prices weren't appalling. They must do well in spite of the gouging because they stay in business. But fair prices would probably quadruple the shoppers here. I do run in when I forgot something that I need, or run out of something between grocery trips. They have a lot of nice food options and plenty of organic choices too! But - it's the most expensive grocery store I've been to and I shop all of them. Checkout workers are always kind. Produce is fresh. There is a deli here as well.

Visiting my daughter in nearby Glen Gardner over the holiday (4th of July), we wanted to get away from traffic and shop locally, so this store is perfect. After living in Florida where the nearest store was a truck stop, with only various kinds of chewing tobacco, I appreciate this store for locals and it's variety. The entry near the deli greeted us with the yummy scent from the hot bar, serving various chicken and pork, and the food looked freshly made and presented. The next department was the produce, and it was stocked well with very fresh items that were meticulously stacked in bins. Prices were extremely good for the citrus, which, coming from Florida, I took special interest in viewing. The rest of the store was well stocked with wide variety in each aisles. I even found my granddaughters' favorite fruit roll-ups at a very comparable price, making them very happy on my return. If I lived in the area I would definitely be a regular customer, especially in the winter when traveling those hilly twisting roads!

Been there a few times and every time I went I bought expired stuff……. I will never go back again. I’ll stick to shoprite where the prices are reasonable and the food has life left. Ridiculous and disgusting.

The Spanish food here is absolutely amazing. The Maduros, pork, chicken, empanadas, rice, beans, and everything else they got it perfect. I am so excited this place has authentic food along with being a convenient and great grocery store.

I rarely post negative comments. Service was slow at the deli, even the other deli person was getting frustrated with the guy helping me. The check out person barely greeted us. We kind of expected more from a boutique grocery. Maybe it was a freak thing....it was better the other time we were there.

This is a great little supermarket. It has some of the freshest produce around and I love that I can find some ethnic flavors here that I can’t find anywhere else. The meat is a bit on the pricier side but every now and then you can get some amazing specials, especially on chicken and pork. It’s always incredibly clean too! All the cashiers are pleasant and polite, and I’ve had fun conversations with them while paying and bagging. If you’re ever passing through it’s definitely worth a stop! We are very lucky to have this gem in our neighborhood!

This store has really gone down hill in the last few years. There is no longer any ropa vieja, the Hungarian mushroom soup is sloppily made with onion peel in it and Brian the chef is long gone. It's a shame. The rest of the store is very nice still. The prices are still on the outrageous side but you get what you pay for (usually). 2019 is just a memory of when this store was worth 5 stars.

I can't believe that this place has 4 stars this is why one everything there is expensive even the things that are on sale whenever you are walking into check out there's a kid on there phone and looks like there bothered by you coming up to them I also want to add in I was previously employed there and lost my job because I was on my phone while working and now anytime I go in there all of the kids are sitting there on there phones I wouldn't be going here if it wasn't right down the road

Califon resident who tried to support this grocery store until now. I’ll go to Shoprite moving forward and this is why. This store always had checkers help bag groceries and I assumed because they never had a line and just good customer service. I always offer to help bag my own groceries and typically do. I understand being a checker can be hard, especially if really busy and customers should help out. Twice in the past two weeks the checkers stood watching me bag without even offering to help a little. I asked the young man tonight, “is not helping customers bag a new policy”? He said, “ since you bring or purchase your bags we stopped and I like it better this way”. I can’t support a business with people who take pride in doing the bare minimum. It’s poor customer service to not offer to help when with a couple of groceries if they have nothing else to do. Bad business and lazy.

This place is very clean and has a good selection. The staff is always helpful and kind. BUT... the prices on everything are over the top. Now that everything is going up, Aqui's are at the point I only go in when I need 1 or 2 things.
