My husband and I went to an open house in Middlesex that was hosted by Mark Kot. Upon arriving at the property Mark was escorting a family out the front door. We are a black family.We walked up to the home and completed the sign-in forms at the front door. Mark came to the door and asked if we filled out the forms and I immediately said "yes" we completed the forms. Mark then comes out the house to check and see if we completed the forms.As we began to view the ranch style home, we were shown around to each room and watched very carefully. At one point I went into the master bathroom across from the master bedroom and Mark scolded us and told us to stay in the same room. At this point I was done with the open house. It gets better, we viewed the yard and pool area and Mark asked us to leave out the back door. We were completely blown away. Mark said he had to attend to another visitor, however, when we exited the yard there was no one present. Mark Kot please check your conscious and unconscious biasness.

Mark helped to guide us through the process of a first time home buy. He was very knowledgeable, always available when needed. He was very clear about the things we should consider as an asset to the houses we were touring, but also things that could become a problem in the near future. His positive attitude and helpfulness never waned, despite the fact more than one house fell through. Mark was simply amazing. Highly recommend!

He comes prepared with a Market Analysis to clearly identify what the current conditions are for a seller and buyer. Mark was recommended to us by a friend who was also selling a house in Somerville, NJ. Mark met with us and gave us an honest opinion on what our house would be worth and gave us a run down of his experience and approach to real-estate. He listened to our input and helped us list our house at a price that we all agreed would get the most interest.We listed our house on a Thursday and by Sunday we had over 20 offers (not exaggerating) with only 1 that was below asking. Mark presented organized all of the viewings and offers so that we were never overwhelmed and always knew what was going on. We sold our house for well over asking price and the whole transaction was shockingly easy.Mark is friendly, organized, VERY responsive, and knows the area and market incredibly well. I don't think we could have worked with a better agent. He never pressured us and always let us know what to expect and gave an honest unbiased opinion when it was appropriate. Anyone who is selling or buying a house in the Somerville area would be lucky to work with Mark.

I needed to sell my home in Manville in 2020. However, because I have been living out of state, it was additional challenge during pandemic. After going through reviews of local realtors on a few websites I chose Mark Kot. I am glad I did. During our first meeting in he came prepared with detail market analysis, local pricing and trends. His knowledge of the town and surrounding area is excellent. He evaluated the house, and because it required some improvements and updates Mark gave me names of local contractors and suppliers. In addition, he informed me about local and state requirements when selling house in New Jersey. Because of travel restrictions I could easily reach him on the phone or by e-mail. He has been using latest technology and apps for signing and exchanging documents, which was very convenient for me. On occasions I did visit the house he was always available to meet in person.Mark was very engaged and had successfully guided me through the entire real estate process of selling house, that went without issues. I'm very impressed with Mark and would recommend him to anyone interested in buying or selling a home.

Mark is a great realtor to work with and his knowledge of our town and the surrounding towns is extensive.He showed us all the comps in our town and surrounding area and priced our house higher then expected. Mark did a lot of work prior to the listing and on the first day of the listing we had quite a few appointments. We ended up selling our house the very first day it was listed and sold it for more then the listed price. Mark was there for us every step of the way, he made selling our home a lot less stressful then expected. If we had to do it all over again I would choose Mark again and again he’s a great realtor and really knows his stuff.

Mark was extremely helpful in our home buying process. He was honest, diligent and always made himself available with little notice whenever a home came on the market that we were interested in. If it wasn't for that, my fiance and I would probably not have had our offer accepted for our new place amidst all of the offers that followed.
