Small shop can find few essential items but not all groceries

There are very few Desi Stores around and Rahi Stores fills that need. This is a Desi ‘convenience’ store, not a big box retail store or a Patel Wholesale level store; so to the other people who are leaving bad reviews that it is expensive are just displaying either their own cheapness or lack of awareness on how hard it is to run a small business that caters to ethnic communities.I have nothing but good things to say. I can find most things that I need and sometimes they are slightly more expensive than other stores, but that’s fine. I’m not being forced to buy, I’m paying them for the convenience. While I agree with some reviews that the counter people might not have a ‘pleasant disposition’ or smile every time I see them, that too is fine. I am there to purchase groceries not to catch up on the Joneses.I am grateful that that place exists and that they listen to customers’ inquiries. I know I asked for Ashoka Naans once, and they said they don’t carry that brand, next week, they had them there. Same thing with Shan Chana Masala.Just not fond of the Samosa/Kabab/homemade snacks that they carry, they look a bit old/stale; but it might just be my perception.

Stay away from the place. Old man working there sold me stale Dhokla and Biryani. I asked if its fresh . He lied on my face. I come home to a fridge cold, hard Dhokla and cold Biryani.I am amazed he thought I would not know the difference.Do not call and ask to keep aside fresh food. This is what you get for trusting.Very bad experience.

Good only if you are in a rush and do not want to drive another 8 miles to a better Indian Grocery store . I bought a pack of sweets, there was no price tag on it and my fault is I do not enquire about the price. It was too expensive for $10 just 6 pieces of laddu. When I got the receipt and asked to return the laddu was told it can not be returned, there system does not have option to Return. I had not yet bagged the purchase. I would recommend to verify the prices before making payments and use cash in this store and first of all go there only if you are in a Rush.... :(

Very deceptive and untrustworthy business! Owner is very cunning, dishonest, and rude. Most of the products there are expired/bad, not to mention significantly overpriced. Owner makes false promises of product availability. They are very dishonest and unreliable. Trick is to get you to the store by saying they have a product you’re looking for and when there, they try to force bad products onto you for a steep price. If you decline, they get very rude and unpleasant with you. Looters!! They are scammers, BEWARE! All the positive reviews must be from friends/family, DO NOT TRUST THEM!

This store is a small Indian grocery store. Can't expect all type of brands but all the variety of groceries are available if brand is not a concern.Small carts are available at the entrance door outside which can be taken inside.Very less options on fresh vegetables and they are not fresh also. Branded frozen vegetables are available in freezer. Most of the groceries are in small sizes only which are 2 or 1 lb. Very few only available in 4 lb size.Parking is available as this place has many stores and there is restaurant available attached to this store which is a separate business.Restroom is also available which is clean and only 1 person can go at a time. No sign of restroom on the door and it is inside only at then end of the store. They accept all type of payments. I tried card payment. They accept Discover & Amex cards too.

***AVOID THIS PLACE***I don't know WHO is writing these positive reviews. As others have noted, yes, this is a very small store worthy of "emergency only" groceries. Yet it is possible to run a small business while ensuring quality of the products you sell. This is NOT one of those places.I'm sifting through rice I just bought only to find plump rice weevils (critters) and their eggs crawling about the kernels. This was literally the only bag of such rice they had on their bare shelves (which should've been the first red flag). I ended up paying over $20 bucks for it. The only reason I'm not bringing it over for a refund is because the bag skeeves me out and I don't want to be back there, period. There is close to no fresh produce. Forget about any interest in fruits, lime/lemons, mangos, etc. Check the expiration date for every packaged product. Avoid any cooked product they try to sell you as "fresh". There are absolutely no kitchen pans/utensils/cooking tools available, so don't bother looking. As an Indian American, I am truly baffled how this is one of the only Indian grocers in town within a demographic of so many Indians. Now I know better to stock up on groceries from far out stores like Patel Brothers and go to the latin or east asian grocers off the major routes to grab the "emergencies" (or even just amazon).I make it a point to never leave bad reviews unless I'm genuinely trying to save someone the hassle of a very unfortunate mistake. Unless management changes, the whole structure is rebuilt, and/or a MIRACLE happens, do NOT go to this place.Date of review: April 2023.

It's okay in a pinch but the selection here is terrible and stuff was very near expiration.

This is a very small Indian grocery store so don’t plan a trip if you want to go full week/ month groceries. Its good for small items when you are in a hurry and have no time to stop in those bigger stores. Not much of vegetables however, there is a free home delivery which is worth. I have used their delivery service a few times it was great. Samosas in this place are fresh and delicious.

Love this place. They carry everything I need on my Indian grocery list. Prices are decent and the owners and associates are very helpful.
