This store is almost completely self service now unless you pay with cash. I had to check out and bag my own items. I wanted to take something off my total because it was priced much higher that I thought it would be (there was no price on the item). There was a very long line of people behind me waiting to check out and in order to take item off my total I had to wait for a clerk before I could remove it from my total. So I wound buying 2 items I did not want because the line was too long to wait for help.I will be shopping a lot less at this store and only when it is not crowded.

I called Michael's and asked if they would be able to create a customized 16 x 20 mat for me. It was to have one 8 x 10 photo opening and a 4 x 4 opening for an autograph. Over the phone they told me it would cost around $25.00. So I went to the Framing Dept. last week, and had brought with me any other specifications for the mat they might need. The staffperson in Framing told me the in house store does not make a customized mat, and it would have to be shipped back from outside the store in order to do it. She also explained that it would probably cost around an estimate of $100!! I decided instead to go to Frame Me in Raritan NJ. I purchased the customized 16 x 20 mat AND a 16 x 20 acid free foam board AND they wired the back of the frame AND sealed it for: $49.00!! AND they completed it while I was there in 30 MINUTES!! The moral of the story: DONT USE MICHAELS for anything customized or for framing. Use them only for their coupon offerings. That's all they are good for.

Consistently poorly stocked in the jewelry department. When I go things are either VERY low on stock or completely sold out. I went to get gold toned beading wire and there was one option with two left. I recommend going to a different crafting store. The Michaels in Bridgewater is extremely UNRELIABLE.

During February which we all know if black history month ( the shortest month of the year) michaels sells black history items. But as soon as March 1 comes these items become obsolete until February 1 of the next coming year. They can not be found in store or online. Why is that? I personally would like to be able to purchase these items any and everyday of the year.

Don't do curbside pick up and expect to NOT have to get out of the car and go in the store (which I was trying to avoid). I checked in on the app that I was on the way and again when I arrived. I parked in what I thought was designated pickup (but was informed by pet smart girl that it was their spot and for michaels you have to pull in front of the store) So I did that. Sat for 30 minutes. Nothing...Finally got out of my car and asked the greeter to get my items... I was super annoyed. Never again!!

So after learning about the 70% mega framing sale last year, we waited to get two canvases stretched and framed until the sale again this year. Great job, quick and easy process. The only thing that surprised me was when I picked up the framed canvases, they were simply wrapped in brown paper. There were no cardboard corner savers, which I thought should have been included when you spend hundreds of dollars on a frame. Oh well, good thing I had two large moving blankets in the SUV to wrap the frames and transport them home.

This was a nice Michaels. The store is clean, had great amount of merchandise. I also love how cheap Michaels seems to be. It seems like everything in Michaels is under $15, so it ends up being affordable. The store has a great variety of craft needs, and has mostly everything for young crafters. The store is large, but not too large, and has great quality products. I didn't need any help what I needed, so I can't judge staff, but overall this was a nice store!

This is the location I go to for all my craft and teaching supplies. While I usually have good interactions with the people at the registers, I have to say, this past weekend there was nobody, I mean really nobody on the floor to help me find what I was looking for. I ended up at the end of the store at the framing counter where "Steve" who was clearly having a bad day was working. I asked him to help me with what I needed since it had to do with frames and hooks for frames. He had a rather rude comment when he took me to the aisle and I mentioned I had passed by it but I couldn't find the hooks. About 30 minutes later, I was looking again for some type of "contact paper", I couldn't find anybody on the floor but I saw a young lady by the frame counter that offered to help me once she was done with her customer. She went inside and asked "Steve" to help me instead. When he came to the counter and saw me, he said, "She asked me to help you... Again!" quite annoyed that he had to help me twice. I told him he clearly needed a break. Only when he saw me checking his name tag he changed his attitude. That kind of employee is bad for business.

This is my go to location. They always have fully stock shelves along with the nicest associates in their chain. Look for Alice in the cashier lane because she is just such a lovely lady. I highly recommend this location

I seldom go into Michael's and now I remember why. Had a gift card and went into the Bridgewater store to see if I could spend it. After checking out with a credit card I got to the car and remembered! Crap I had a gift card. I went back into the store with my receipt and was told by a very nasty salesperson I would have to bring all my items back, she would have to return them one by one and then ring them up again and charge my gift card. I had been in the store less than 20 minutes previous and she checked me out. I had my receipt - I don't understand why she couldn't use the receipt instead of me having to run back out in the pouring rain to drag my bags back in. Credit my debit card and charge the gift card....really?? The store is a mess, ladders in the aisles, little merchandise on the shelves, not worth revisiting. Spent my gift card on-line. I will not return to this store

Something horrible has happened to this Michaels. I went in to find just a few items right before Christmas and again yesterday. Both times, it was messy, disorganized, no floor help. They've reorganized registers to one of those long line customer next, and both times I walked out. Not worth the wait. The flowers are now crammed into vertical stacked, narrow rows. Very unattractive, the old way made the store so inviting when walking in! Racks had been moved, and the floor had many remaining dirt marks that have not yet been waxed.

Took signed numbered artwork to be framed. Framing "specialist" was not communicative and disinterested while working with me. Framing "specialist" covered number and signature after expressly being asked to be sure not to... I asked because the overhead picture that was taken cut it off and I was assured it would be visible. When I went to pick it up after 3 weeks, of course the number and signature were covered and then could not rebuild because part of frame was out of stock. She then damaged the artwork and now have to wait while they file insurance claim. Never again will I try to save this way on framing. Michaels FAIL!
