The number they have only lets you hear some robot girl tell you the hours or to talk to a pastor at a church. There is no way to get in contact with the store. If I wanted to talk to a pastor I would go to church. If I wanted to hear an automated voice I’d go to robotics school. How can u have a business and not have a working number to the store. And to be quite honest with you I don’t care about ur church helpings or whatever u guys do cuz it prob is fake maybe take some of the money you get and invest in a phone number that goes to your store. I hope that whoever decided to not have a actual phone number to the store gets a ingrown hair on there azz so every time u sit it hurts.

We went to pick up some furniture for a customer from here. They were robbed, they paid $600 for a bedroom set that was donated for free. On top of that some fat slob comes out yelling at us because we were wrapping it with the plastic the lady that works there gave us. Truly unprofessional and I made sure to let my customer know, they will never go back.

We've donated about 40 boxes here. Tues. we saw a cute plate and wednesday went back to get it. Both days two ladies at the cashiers we're talking about what a great group of people were currently working there. I asked the price of the plate. The lady responded 10 dollars. My husband told her what we were hoping to do with it. A little arrogantly she said, " it will still be 10 dollars. " We stopped talking and gave her the 10 and left.

I'm really not so sure about this place, in all honesty - and it's very much a one-and-done visit for me."Destiny" Thrift is, as expected, a religious affiliate organization as part of "New Beginnings / Destiny CDC", a stripmall church located next door. A large amount of the items in the store tend to reflect this, with a huge emphasis on Christmas tableware / figures, etc. The store is kept clean, there's a large selection of (mostly women's) clothing, and your usual thrift store assortment of old mugs, plates, and fine china sets that were donated. The downsides? IMO the prices are too high for a thrift store - I came in looking for a new set of plates for home, and having found one that I liked here, I started adding up the cost. The end result was for the entire set of USED plates, it was within $10 of just buying the suckers NEW, online. I get inflation is a real kick in the teeth right now, but these things are donated, right? A stack of old walmart-grade stoneware that costs $50 new shouldn't retail for $35-40 in a thrift shop, c'mon..In addition to that, the owners here for whatever reason felt the need to hang up a massive 45 / MAGA flag in the back of the store, because hey - that really makes the place feel more inviting, right? There's quite a lot of wonderful thrift shops in town, and in Point Pleasant - just a stone's throw away. Between the steep prices and the unwanted political posturing, I think there's better choices in the area for finding good deals & neat trinkets.

I used to love driving down to Brick and get fabulous finds at very reasonable prices.....NOT NOW! I understand inflation stinks but passing the inflated cost to customers is terrible. The store was overloaded with overpriced items that no one is buying. So sad and disappointing. Will not be back....

Tried to donate several items and the people were VERY rude! They even grabbed stuff that wasn't for donation. They barely listened to me when i tried to tell them what was and was not for sale. I support the cause, but my goodness they're not easy to donate to.

Just went in with my fiancé and was greeted as soon as we walked in and we were asked if we needed any help! Items were beautiful and well priced, well placed in different sections between entertainment, glassware to even an entire Christmas section!! Bought beautiful vintage pottery and wood pieces Goodwood name brand and found a cameo locket and heart locket!Don’t forget to check their jewelry section in front of the counter and there’s a section behind the counter as well (we didn’t get to check it out, but that gives me another reason to go again along with the owner being absolutely amazing to us)!!!
