“I usually do not review supermarkets - I thought I should make an exception for this one. It is the nicest looking and most well stocked ShopRite supermarket I have ever visited! Buuuuut .... what's the deal with coin operated trolleys? Who still carries coins in their pockets these days? ? This coin operated trolleys are also my first at a ShopRite store. I had to use a hand basket to shop - which significantly cuts down the amount of junk food I purchased. So, my food shopping experience ended well and was healthier.”

“I love this Dollar General and all the helpful workers at this particular location. Today, I was looking for another solar butterfly for my garden, and there were no more to be found. The kind cashier phoned another Dollar General to see if they had any in stock for me. I am always just taken aback how everyone who works here goes out of their way for the customers. This Dollar General has also seen a face lift in the past year. Aisles are more organized and the quality/variety of housewares has really improved. I'm a regular here and highly recommend this store to anyone who is in the Newton area.”

Feels very cramped as a result of the layout and the large shipping carts.
High quality (although often more expensive) seafood and beef.
For best results you'll want to use the application for the e-coupons which are a completely different coupon system than your rewards card.
Rewards for ShopRite only apply toward purchases made at ShopRite. (While others give you credit towards gasoline price reduction with participating gas stations)
Overall, ShopRite is competitive, feels crowded to me, you need to use a quarter to access shopping carts (you get it back when you return the cart, but if you have no quarter, you get no cart)

“Thursday night, probably around 8:30pm, staff member near self check out asked me if she could give my toddler a sticker. I haven’t seen a yellow Walmart Smiley sticker since I was a kid. Made me more happy than my kid. Thanks Newton Walmart”

“The staff behind the deli department are super helpful and friendly, the girls up front checking you out are not very friendly or useful....they have the best chicken and Mac and cheese and salads... you really can't go wrong with anything from the deli department”
