I was disappointed with Alex. I am sympathetic with the rough times he has been having and I really wanted him to make repairs to my car and make a little money. I left the car with him for 2 1/2 weeks and never heard from him and could not reach him. He later explained that he was called out of town for a family tragedy but no work was done prior to that and all l would expect is a simple call or text to let me know something happened and he couldn't get to the work.

It's unfortunate that people don't want to provide the best service possible unless the service is paid for up front. I just called to see if they carried 3 particular tires and Yelp suggested this place would be best to take it to in that area. I also needed a good $4,000 worth of work on suspension and alignment etc on my car but before just dropping it off, I wanted to call to get an estimate on tires. Immediately I was told he didn't have the tires in stock and it's probably a Costco tire (which it isn't, Its a Mercedes) and that he couldn't help me, all this decline of service before I could tell him all what I needed exactly. He assumed I was shopping around for the best price... It actuality sir, I was shopping around for the best customer service and you sir saved me a trip. I cut no corners on cost for quality service but I will not deal with crappy attitudes. Bah humbug to you too lol

Went to Jersey Guy Automotive at the recommendation of a friend and fellow Yelper. His words were that "this was a small shop where the owner, Alex, is an honest, hardworking guy, who does top notch work." I went there for an oil change. Alex finished ahead of time, with clean, quality work. It's a small shop, but he does all his own work and above all is honest and won't cut corners or try to sell you stuff you don't actually need. I will continue to go here in the future. *** the shop is actually on (old)W Main St., which is on the south side of the railroad tracks by the Brook Industrial park.

Alex and co are clearly the best mechanics in the area. Not only is their level of service second to none, they always go above and beyond to make sure my suvs are running in top condition. One of them is new and I still rather work with JGA than the dealership I got it from. Honest shops are rare so if u want honest reliable service then give this place a call!!!!

Alex is, without a doubt, one of the most genuine mechanics out there. I moved to New Jersey from California about a year ago, and shortly thereafter needed to have some routine maintenance performed on my Acura. I found Jersey Guy Automotive based on Yelp (and other) reviews, filled out an online form for more information, and within hours, Alex had contacted me to schedule an appointment. Brought the car in a couple of days later, and was in and out in less than an hour. Alex took the time to walk me through the work that needed to be done, and even took the time to point out that, despite the Acura dealership's recommendation to the contrary, my brakes had plenty of life left in them, and did not need to be replaced. Fast forward a few months, and I've traded in the Acura for a Volvo, and I continue to not only visit Alex for routine repairs, but also recommend his services to my friends and colleagues.

Alex did an awesome job when I had ABS brake issues. He diagnosed it for free, gave me all the details up front, called me when he thought it'd take a little more money and time to do, and even gave me a ride to come get the car. It's only a single bay small place but don't be fooled. Great service and a good price. Btw - he's located inside a building with E&J Auto on the outside.
