“I’ve never written a review for a post office, but I feel like they deserve the recognition! The employees at this location are wonderful. They go above and beyond and they are always kind and helpful. I lost a receipt a few weeks ago, and they took the time to retrieve it for me without hesitation. I always get the best service in this little spot. Thank you!!”

“Unfortunately I don’t know her name. Was there today Wednesday Sept 17 th approximately 3pm. She was soooo nice, and sooo helpful. Moved to Rockaway 6 months ago and still trying to find our way around. Have been in post office before but never met this very kind and knowledgeable lady. I was a little frustrated with the day I had and had to get a money order which I didn’t know bank does not do.They told me to go to post office. So I proceeded to post office. She was soooo nice and helpful. Didn’t know what to expect because being new in the area I thought “ great another aggravating situation “. Just want to make sure you know who I’m speaking of. again Sept 17th about 3PM. She was soooo nice great, helpful and felt Rockaway may have been a good move. Thank you sooo much postal worker on that day and time.”

I actually go out of my way to use this location over others nearby. The service is consistently friendly and efficient, with the exception of one newer employee who seems less approachable. Lines can get long due to customer delays, not staff, but I usually wait no more than 10 minutes. The space is small but functional, and they have a fun selection of envelopes. Overall, a great post office.”

The postal service is actually my favorite branch in the Federal government. You should feel lucky you can mail a letter across the country for only 73 cents. If it were Fedex or UPS it would be $5.00. Super efficient.”
“My bad for not getting the name of the super helpful woman who works there. I was there at approx 2:30 in the afternoon. She obviously takes pride in her work and treats people with respect, as if she were the owner of that business. At times over the years when I impressed a customer with hard work and respect, they have said "where did you find HIM?", meant in a complimentary way. Hey USPS, where did you find HER!?”

“Typically, any trip to the post office is associated with a groan, procrastination, then a period of denial. My wife and I couldn't put it off any longer. Holiday gifts had to go and we're in a pandemic. Our local post office was out of the question so we thought, try a new place.So glad we drove to the Park Ave., USPS. Erik was the clerk and he was extremely friendly, patient and professional. Took the time to advise us on our packages and delivery options and we in no way felt rushed. It was hard to imagine we were in a United States Post Office. Haven't had an experience like that in decades.Parking is fairly easy, lines were not very long despite holiday season rush on a Saturday morning. Also, there is disabled parking (which I utilized), directly in front as well as wheelchair ramp access for those who require it.Stay safe and be well...”

“My wife went to the post office to get both of our kids their first passports. They received amazing service, and were in and out within 30 minutes. The staff is incredibly pleasant and efficient, and took the time to patiently explain everything. We live in town, so we know how great this post office is, but if you need a passport, it’s worth the drive to get one here.”
“They have exemplary customer service when I stop by in person, but I do keep getting other people’s mail. Also, the town isn’t all that big, if they set out at 07:10 to do their route(s), then why is it that In almost 10 hours it hasn’t arrived. I live not even 2 minutes away. Aside from that, they’re a grade A post office.”

“I have been here multiple times, and this is hands up the best post office. I drive 20 minutes to come do what I need to do here, instead of going to where I live in Newark, NJ where they are rude, nasty and make you wait too long.”
“Judy is the only saving grace of this place. I only bring my packages here when she is on duty. She is fast, organized and knows her stuff. Unfortunately you can tell she is overworked and under appreciated. Last week she was on vacation and the whole place fell apart. The whole town was talking about it. I realize nowadays it’s hard to find people with a good work ethic but maybe they should reward people like Judy who work harder than what is required of them.”

The automated phone system is efficient despite being impersonal—I had a mail issue resolved quickly through an online form. Staff here used to feel cold and indifferent, but there’s been a noticeable shift lately. A kind older Asian woman who rotates between locations brings warmth to the service. Staff turnover seems high, and while they may be short-staffed, hiring doesn’t appear active.
Lines vary depending on the time and customer behavior, but I usually wait no more than 10 minutes. If the parking lot is full, expect a wait. The space is functional, though envelope selection is more limited than other nearby offices.”

“I had a problem with a missing parcel. The gentleman in the post office followed up with me twice in 48 hours. He was polite, and really diligent about finding the package. He sent mail carrier on Saturday to recheck for pkg and they found it in wrong mailbox.
